Joaquin walked me home after the fireworks display. We kept it cool when having a small talk, though we can still feel a bit' tinsy winsy moment of uncomfortable silence.
I am happy about the events today except about the part were Joaquin left me hanging about why he and Steph broke up.
They're such a great couple and I can't even make up a reason why they broke up.
Joaquin and me soon ended up infront of the steps of my home.
My back was facing him then I decided to turn around and bid him a goodnight and thank him for a really great night.
When I faced him he was looking up above the clear night sky. I smile at the sight, were the moonlight hits his skin enhancing his facial features. That's when I realized how pointed his nose is and his strong jaw line looks really good on him, his quite handsome I'll give him that. 😊😄
The last thing that I noticed was his eyes, those eyes that reflects the stars from above. A small sigh escaped his lips. Then it hit me like a truck and leaving me unable to move.
I just realized I am attracted to my bestfriend for heavens sake!
How could I not noticed sooner.... well I guess I already figured that out but J just can't admit it to myself unlike now.
He looked down at me, since he's a bit taller than me, as a smile appeared from his lips.
I looked away embarassed about the fact that I got caught starring at him like the creep I am. I fake cough just to lessen the tense feeling inside me.
I feel like my stomach was doing consecutive summer saults non-stop.
"So......" I begin "for tonight I just liked to say uhm.... thank you for a wonderful evening." I finished and looking at his direction once again inly to find a wierd look on Joaquin's face.
"Is there something wrong with my face? Uhm...... well you shou-" I cut off when he interrupted me.
"Yeah.... that's no problem." He flashes me his cute smile that would make any girls fall for.... but not me.
"Uh.. right! That's what friends are for right?" I asked him while returning the smile. "Right.... friends....." he quietly whisperred the last past barely enough for me to hear him.
There was something about what he last said.... hmmm....
"So..... goodnight" I finally said and started to turn and enter my house when a warm hand captured my wrisk. That caught my attention obviously.
I stopped and faced him one last time. "Tommorrow after school hours..... uhm... would you like to meet me up at the rooftop?" Joaquib asked me and all I could do was nod to sleepy and tired to talk back.
He smiled and started to jog his way out of our front yard. He turned around one last time and wave at me to say goodbye.
I waved back and then his gone. I didn't quite get what he just said until know whenni stepped inside my room and ready to sleep. Joaquin wanted to see me afer school hours tonmorrow.
'Maybe he has just something to tell me or he just liked to eat our lunch there.'
I thought to myself.
As soon as I contemplated what he just said I begin to doze off. My eyes slowly shutting down.
Tommorrow's a big day and I hope it would be just fine.
