Chapter 4

Jacob's pov

Already getting close with my neighbour I see? I say with jealousy rising through my body.

Woah chill. Yeah we are becoming good friends do you have a problem with that? And why would you care? You're not dating he said.

He was right. What was I thinking? Man I feel bad.

Uh sorry I'm just tired I said and ran back into my house.

Nadia's pov

I was woke up by my alarm for school. The memories flashed back through my head from last night. I wonder how I got home. I'll text Mark after.

I got ready and put on a plain Jane outfit. I texted Mark and he replied with this.

Mark 🙈: Morning! I carried you home because I didn't want to wake you. I have to go see you on the bus!

That was nice of him I thought. I grabbed my backpack and headed out the door to Jacob coming out the same time as me.

Hi Jacob! I say.

Hi. He said walking to the sidewalk to wait for the bus. He was kind of being short with me and I didn't know why.

Anyways we got on the bus and Mark and Jacob sat beside each other because they are super good friends. People call them #macob that's how good of friends they are.

Before school I texted Abbey and Brooke then walked off the bus and went to my locker. Maddie was there because I have a locker right beside her.

Hi Nadia. she says with a grin.

Hi Maddie! How are you? I said cheerfully.

I'm okay. Dance is cancelled tonight do you want to hang? I would really like to get to know you better she said as we walked down the hallway.

Yeah sure I would totally love that! I don't know this town very well maybe you can show me around?

Yeah of course! She said. Here's my number text me later she said giving me a small piece of paper on it with some digits.

The bell rang and we went into our first class of the day and our classes were right across from each other.

The day went on and I started to get to know the school and how to get around better. After my last class was done I didn't see Maddie around her locker so I texted her to see what's up. I got a text back immediately.

Maddie 💯: hey girl! Let's go to the mall tonight! Just found out there's a Valentine's Day dance on Friday we need an outfit!

I totally agreed. I went home on the bus and when it was Jacob and I's stop Mark got off too. They must be hanging out.

Hey! I said directed to both of them. Jacob did that nod thing with his head and Mark did a tiny wave. They walked into Jacob's house.

I walked into my house to not a smell of a candle this time but a freshly baked apple pie sitting on the counter. I went downstairs grabbed my purse and sunglasses. I kissed my moms cheek and told her I was going out. She gave me some extra money for dinner because she didn't know what they were having yet.

As I was heading out the door I realized I needed a ride to the mall. I didn't even know where the mall was. I texted Maddie and she told me she could pick me up so I gave her my address and a couple minutes later a long black limo comes in front of my house.

A person in a tux opened the door for Maddie to get out. Hey you all set? She said. Hop in!

I ran towards to car I was so excited. Dang she must be pretty rich.

I didn't realize our mall was so big. We went into forever 21 and I found a high waisted skirt and a black crop top. I found some accessories at Pacsun. I got a necklace, a few rings and a cute pair of shoes. I also bought another pair of sunglasses because I love sunglasses. 😂

Maddie got a dress but hers came up to a lot more money than mine. But she seems pretty rich so I think she's fine with that.

We decided to go to the food court for dinner and we got a sub from subway. After that she drove me home and I thanked her.

I got a text from a number that I didn't know.

Me: who's this?

613*******: oh it's Jacob, Mark gave me your number.

Me: oh hi jacob!

Jacob 😉: would you like to go to the Valentine's Day dance on Friday with me?

Crappy way of asking me I thought but hey what do I have to lose right?

Me: Sure! I'm going to head to bed see you tomorrow!

Jacob's pov

I asked her I said as Mark looked down at my phone.

Oh cool. Mark said.

Hey Mark I have a question.

Shoot. He said.

Do you like Nadia?

He quickly said I don't know. Then looked at the clock. I better get going he said.

Okay. Just so you know Mark, I think I like Nadia. I said.

K. he said and walked out the door.

Mark is my best friend. I really hope we don't get into a fight over a girl. Well, she will be my girl soon. 😉
