Chapter 7

"Matt, can I ask you something?"

"Anything." both of his hands on the wheel and going on the highway back home.

"Would it be okay if I stay at your house tonight cause I am not feeling going back to my house after what I did?"

"Sure why not? My parents are out of town anyways."

"Thanks I really appreicate." smiling at him.

I texted my mom of where I would be tonight and need more time to think and decide. Derek seemed a nice guy that could take care of mom but I prefer dad though. It's just weird that having another guy around in the family meantime feeling putting dad in behund forever. I dont know what should I do.

Staying at Matt's place wouldn't be so bad afterall. I been to his house before. His parents are always out of town and he is the only child in the family.

I knew that Matt always be there for me and thinking back what I did to him earlier today, I felt bad now. I mean I like him as a friend maybe a little beyond that. What he did today was amazing no guy ever would ever do that to a girl unless he really loves her.

"Megan, do you want to pick up some of your things first before going to my house?"

"Sure."

My powers are still not working at all. The scar didn't burn and I felt that there must be something wrong. Why did they stop? They never stop before in my life and I can't hear any thoughts from Matt and this worries me. They are not working maybe after having the dream of the trial would gain back since I left in the middle of the trial.

We didn't really talked that much on the way back home. It was a short 10 minute ride. When we arrived at my house, Matt pulled over and parked the car in front of the house.

"It would be quick." as he pop the trunk.

"I will be here then."

I went to the trunk and grabbed thoese shopping bags and headed to the door. I took the keys from my purse and went inside the house.

I walked towards my room and dropped the bags on the floor beside my bed. I took one of my just in case sleepover bag where is has everything to stay over night such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, some snack, and pjs. I changed into my normal clothing a T-shirt and shorts with black sneakers and some bracelets. I combed my hair removed the blue flower into a high bun and pinned it back. I grabbed the bag stuffed my belongings from the purse and bring my charger and headed downstair.

I left another note in the kitchen of staying at Matt's and locked the door. Matt is still waiting at the car looking through his phone about something. I went to his car and sank myself into the seat.

"That's was fast." staring at his phone of the time.

"Yeah." as he started the car.

"Are you ready now?"

"Yes."

Matt's house is a 5 minute drive from my house. It is 2 blocks over. This would be our first sleepover I mean we always hang out but not a sleepover I guessed it should be fun.

As we reached Matt's house, he parked his car at the garage and I got out from the car with my stuff with me.

"Here is the key to the house." he threw it at me and I caught it in my hands and headed towards the front door.

I unlocked the door and headed to his room. His house is always so neat as usual as if all things hasn't been move. Its kind freaky but I guessed he likes to keep things neat. Matt's room has a bathroom right beside the door and a TV in front of his made bed. No dirty clothings over the place at all. I put my stuff on the corner of the writing desk and looked at the view from his window.
