My little ray of darkness(Solangelo) (Willco)

Chapter 10

After Nico's little nap with Will, the two started playing again in the house. Nico didn't understand why Will was very angry at Jason and Percy. Will is really nice to him and everybody else and Percy and Jason also seem very nice, so why doesn't he like them.

"Silly Willy, why you no like PP and JJ," Nico asks him as they played with their cars.

Will looks angry when he hears their names. "Because Licky Nicky, they want to take my best friend away from me," Will tells him.

Nico is shocked at the words. He didn't think Percy and Jason could do such a thing. Now he understands why Will is so mad. If somebody tried to take away his best friend he would be mad too. "Who you're best friend," he asks him.

Will furrows his eyebrows. "You Nicky," he says simply.

Nico is surprised. "Me you're best friend."

"Yeah, who else. You're the most specialist person me know."

He didn't think Will and him were best friends. Will was pretty specialist to Nico too. He didn't have many friends other than Bianca and mommy. He wondered what best friends do. Mommy said that when you get married it suppose to be to you're best friend. Does this mean Nico and will have to get married? What other things do best friends do? Jason and Piper hold hands.

Nico puts his hand with Will's and they interlock their fingers. "No worry Willy. Me you best friend forever," Nico assures him. Nico then sees a bunch of flashes of light. He turns and sees Jason jumping up and down taking pictures of Nico and Will.

Piper says something about Jason being a bigger fangirl than him. Which to Nico is pretty obvious. Jason is the son of the wind God, so of course he'd be a bigger fan. Piper can be pretty silly sometimes, but not as much as his Silly Willy.

River stomps over to the camp fire and takes a seat next to Annabeth. River is angry with all that had happened. He didn't want to go out on a date with Rain. He hated him so much and didn't want anything to do with him. Though it was his fault for agreeing to the bet.

"What's with the present," Annabeth asks him.

"Why are you scowling," Piper also asks.

River had forgot all about the present from the mysterious guy. He only remembered when he walked into the Hermes cabin. He didn't know what to think of this gift. It could be a prank from the Hermes cabin or it could be a bomb.

"I don't know, somebody just gave it to me," he tells the girls. He then gets a sad smile as he looks at the present. It reminded him of his daddy and papa. He wanted to talk to them so badly right now. More daddy since he's more sensitive about this stuff. Plus papa would probably go all papa bear on Rain. He didn't understand why his papa treated him different than Phoenix. Whenever Phoenix said he went out with a guy their father would congratulate him. Whenever River even mentioned liking a guy his father would do a complete background check. It was such a double standard and he didn't get why. Though it wasn't all bad. His papa would play with him, but he'd never play with Phoenix now.

"When are you going to open it," Piper asks. She was jumping up and down from excitement.

River shrugs. "Maybe at the end of the campfire." He then feels somebody sit next to him. He turns and sees his brother Phoenix and his brother's boyfriend. "Phoenix," he yells, hugging his brother. "And his boy toy," he says to Malcom with a wink.

"Hello little bro." Phoenix lets go of his brother and looks down at the present. "Did Rain give you present?"

"No, I got it this morning and why would Rain give me a gift." Then River realized something. "You know don't you."

Phoenix smiles at him and nods his head. "Of course. He needs to get my approval to date you," he tells him.

"But why? Papa wouldn't have approved," River complains.

"I don't know about that. He seemed really sincere when he asked me. He said he would take you to the carnival and you love carnivals."

River did love carnivals and he always wished that one of his dates would take him there, but he still didn't like Rain. "Yeah, but I don't like him."

Phoenix smirks. "Is that why you were checking him out when he played basketball the other day?"

River's face flushes as he remembers looking at a sweating shirtless Rain. He remembers Rain even blowing him a kiss after he won, but River just scoffed at it. "I'm failing human anatomy and I needed a model to study off of. Gesh, can't a man study in peace."

"River its summer," Annabeth says and everybody starts laughing. River though pouts and calls them meanies for laughing.

Chiron then makes a few announcements about the dance and a little speech, then everybody starts the camp songs. Even Nico sings, though he is a toddler now and will do whatever everybody else does. It was funny and cute to watch Nico and Will messing up on songs. People would chuckle, but the two didn't know why, they just kept on singing.

When the last song was over River decided to open the box before everybody left. The unwraps the red bow and puts it around his neck like a sweater. Then he takes off the pink wrapping paper and throws it at his brother.

Then what's left is a big red box with a lid on top. It looked really fancy to River. Nobody was paying attention to him at that moment, so he took the lid off the box. Before River has the chance to look in a red beam comes out of the box and goes up in the air.

Everybody now looks up at the red beam and sees it go up in the atmosphere. The red beam then curves and starts falling back down. It seems to get faster and faster the closer it gets to the ground. Everybody gets freaked and runs away, except for River. He gets mesmerized by the beautiful red beam.

"River...River," River hears someone yell. He looks over and sees Rain running towards him. He's a couple yards away from River. Before Rain could get to him, the beam strikes River and it pushes Rain back.

There is a cloud of dust in the air after the lasers impact. Nobody can see through it for a couple seconds. Then a gush of wind comes through and blows all the dust away. Everybody gasps when they see what's left.

River opens his eyes and sees everyone staring at him. He is still sitting on the bench and he feels pretty fine. He looks over at everyone and sees a shock face on everyone. River gives them a sheepish smile as he looks at them. He didn't mean to create such commotion.

He looks down from embarrassment and notices something weird. He is wearing all white. White shirt, white skinny jeans, white shoes, white everything. He takes off his glasses and notices they're white too. River didn't understand why he was wearing white. He usually doesn't wear white, because it makes him look paler.

River looks to his side and his eyes go wide. He then checks his other side and sees it too. He has white wings on his back. He then looks up and sees a red glowing hologram over his head. The hologram shows two wings and a bow and arrow in the middle of it.

River looks down and sees Rain's shocked face.

"October River Holiday, Son of Cupid," Chiron announces.
