"Beep beep beep be-" With a groan, you fling your arm out from under the covers of your warm bed and fumble around until you slap the snooze button on your alarm clock, knocking it off of your bedside table in the process. With a sort of muffled thud it landed on the beige carpeted floor. Groggily you sit up slowly, wishing you could spend at least five more minutes enjoying the comfort of your twin sized bed. With a yawn, you flung your white sheets aside and swung your feet over the side of the bed. "Mayhem, come here boy!" You gently patted your knees as you rose off of your bed. A medium sized German shepherd puppy bounded into the room excitedly, his tail wagging vigorously. "Hey buddy, let's get you fed." With a small smile, you walk with Mayhem out of the bedroom and into the black and silver kitchen. Your feet grew colder as you stepped across the black marble floor. "There you go Mayhem." You pat his head as you filled up his black dog food bowl to the brim and also refilled his black water bowl. Happily, he padded over to the food bowl and crunched loudly on the dry food. "I should probably make myself look decent." You self consciously ran a hand through your slightly tangled long light brown hair. You walked into the white tiled bathroom and looked at the mirror, then instantly regretted it. Under your hazel eyes you had dark bags beginning to form and on your forehead, there were a couple of wrinkles, even though you were only twenty seven. You brushed your hair, put on deodorant, then with a sigh, you left the bathroom and went back to the kitchen and heaved the giant silver fridge open. You scan the shelves for something to eat. After a few moments, you retrieved a half empty carton of milk and leftover cranberry orange oatmeal you made from two days ago, then set them down on the black wooden table. You consider making coffee, but you just shrugged and sat down to eat your breakfast. I'll pick some up from Starbucks on the way to work...if I'm not too late, you thought as you sat down on a silver stool and ate a spoonful of cold oatmeal. From the pocket of your red plaid pajama pants, you felt your phone vibrate against your thigh. You whip it out and unlock it with a grin. "Markiplier posted a new video." You mused. It was tiltled "OH MY GOD GUYS!!". The thumbnail was a picture of Mark wearing an astronaut suit and the background looked like space. "Probably playing Universe Sandbox again." You thought aloud. You were just about to watch the video when the alarm on your phone beeped, reminding you that you were late for work...again. "Crap." You muttered repeatedly as you dashed back into your bedroom and changed from your red plaid pajama pants and long sleeved white shirt into a pair of light blue denim jeans, black t-shirt with the Markiplier logo with the pink warfstache, a dark blue Nikes hoodie wrapped around your waist, and cherry red converse. When you came back out, you slid your phone into your jean pocket, darted into the pale yellow and light brown living room, snatched up your keys from the glass coffee table, and ran out the pine door towards your two door sky blue jeep wrangler. The sun seemed to glare down at you, shining brightly like a freshly polished piece of gold, making you feel really hot as you clambered into the driver's seat and started the ignition. Your jeep roared to life, then the engine settled down to a low purr. As you drove off, you took one last glance of your lavender and white one story house. You couldn't help but feel like you might not see your home or dog again for a very long time.

"Sorry I'm late." You panted as you rushed through the steel sliding door that lead to the briefing room. Sitting around on the white sofa were your teammates and friends Antonio, Caleb, Cassandra or Cassie as you called her, and Samantha. "Where's Drake?" You frowned as you sat down on the long white couch beside Caleb. "He quit so he could be with his family." Your boss explained in an exasperated tone. "That's how come I called you all here. Sorry to make you come today on your day off, but we need to talk about the launch to plot new territory in space that is literally only one month away, so we need a new engineer in case some of your equipment breaks while in space, and no one at the academy is willing to go for such a long period of time." He paused to take a breath. "So we found the first available engineer, or at least he used to be studying to be an engineer, that was willing to help. He has a college degree in engineering, but we still need to give him proper training to handle space equipment. He's right now waiting on the launch pad to meet all of you...that's all I wanted to say. Dismissed." He lazily waved his hand, signaling for us to leave. You nodded and followed behind your friends, anxious to meet the new guy. You froze just as you were about to say hello to the person. "Hey, I guess you already know me since you're wearing one of my shirts. May I have the pleasure of knowing who you are?" Mark Fischbach held out a hand for you to shake as he offered you a wry grin, his white teeth reflecting the glowing rays of the sun. He seemed amused that you were wearing some of his franchise. He was dressed in a blue flannel shirt that was almost all the way buttoned, dark blue denim jeans, and a pair of dark gray boots from some brand you've never heard of. His faded light blue hair hung in front of his right eye loosely, almost covering up his black rectangular glasses that were askew on his face. You snapped out of your thoughts when you remembered that Mark had asked you a question. "(Y/N)," You cursed internally as your voice trembled in awe of meeting your favorite YouTube celebrity. You watched Mark absent mindlessly as he introduced himself to the others and talked with them for a while. "It was nice to meet all of you, but I should get back to training. I have a lot to catch up on. Have a good day!" He smiled and waved goodbye to the group as he turned on his heel and went back to his car. As he climbed inside, he gave you a wink as he shut the door and drove away. "He seems nice, huh (Y/N)?" Cassie put her arm around my shoulder. "Yeah." I mumbled as I watched him drive away.
