I wake this morning with a crick in my neck, as I peeled the covers off my legs I rub the based of my neck, with my other hand, in a circular motion. I sit on the edge of my bed, my feet tracing the shape of a heart on the floor. Flowey sighs in his pot,

"What are you doing now? It's annoying!" He whined, pulling his disproportionate head out of his soil.

"Morning, to you to," I reply with a smile, tilting my head slightly to one side, my grown-out fringe tumbles onto my face.

"Grrh," Flowey sighed, he seemed tense. I picked up the water bottle on the side of my bed, poured it on his dirt and patted his top-most petal. My room is small, but it's big enough, i love the yellow striped walls and green carpet, I have a single bed in one corner, on the opposite side of the room (but only about five feet away) is a chest of drawers (which I also use as a desk) where Flowey Perches. And opposite the door is a closet. I walk over and opened my closet, leaving the door open so Flowey wouldn't see me get dressed. I wasn't sure what to wear, I slowly ran my fingers along the clothes, until I touched a jumper, of a soft blue fabric and pink stripes. I grip the sleeve, but then look at the calendar. Three days. No. I'll wear it then. For old times sake. Instead I pull a vest over my head and then a black and white stripped over shirt, along with blue jeans, and my favorite brown boots; that mum got me for my birthday last year.

I pick up the bag mum had left out for me last night, she had packed my school bag already. I love her, but she still treats me like a child sometimes. I hurried down for breakfast, a little blue Bloomingdales bag sat on the table. She had packed my lunch too, there was a note inside, it read; 'Good morning my child. Sorry I missed you, I had to go into work early, but I will see you there. Don't forget your English homework ~Toriel'.

Suddenly two thin hands grab my waist and lift me up into the air, followed by a loud 'NYEH HEH HEH!'.

"put 'em down paps"

"ALRIGHT"

I crashed to the floor, Papyrus isn't very good at being subtle or careful. But I smile and smooth out my hair, and then carefully pull it up into a high ponytail, it reaches my shoulders now, but my hair isn't anything compared to Undyne's!

"ALRIGHT, I'll MAKE THE SPAGHETTI!' Papyrus squawked,

"seriously, spaghetti for breakfast bro? your even stranger than usual. have you been feeling a bit bonley lately?" sans nudged my shoulder with the tip of his elbow. I hold back a smile as they go into their morning routine of bad puns and yelling, so I end up making breakfast, again. Cinnamon porridge with butterscotch sauce, it sounds strange but I have come to love the combination.

"Will I have to do this everyday?" I snorted, "I mean, make the breakfast, when was the last time you made breakfast that wasn't spaghetti?"

"WELL I AM NOT SUPPOSED TO TO TELL YOU, BECAUSE I, THE GREAT PAPYRUS, AM AN AMAZING SECRET KEEPER, BUT YOU WON'T HAVE TO IN COUPLE DAYS, THE BIRTHDAY GAL SHOULDN'T MAKE THEIR BREAKFAST!" Papyrus yelled, I looked a him, he remembered. Well it's also an important date for all monsters, so I am often surprised when people remember it's my birthday, over the day in which they returned to the surface. I shovel the rest of my breakfast in my my mouth, pull my bags onto my shoulder, ran to my room to pick up my phone and run out the front door with a muffled "Goodbye". SLAM.

I rushed down the road, swallow, and clumsily texted Monster Kid that I am on my way.

"You're late, again Frisk..." They say.

"I know, I'm sorry. My alarm doesn't work anymore."

"Maybe I'll have to get you one for your birthday!"

We continue on, remembering not to walk passed TEMMIE VILLAGE, we made that mistake before. We wander through the maze of hedges, as we arrive at school, Asgore went a bit over board, but I don't blame him, he still wants mum back. He thinks this will impress her. I walk through the front doors, holding it open for Kid and we stroll down the corridor, I help Kid up after he slips in a puddle and we go our separate ways at the end of the hall, I wave goodbye. I always feel bad on our walks to school, I am not one for talking, but sometimes people forget that it means that I like to listen. I continue forward to find a fluffy, tall, white monster in a blue cardigan and black skirt.

"MUM!" I call out, and then I remember where I am, and correct myself "Miss Dremurr". She turns around with a large smile, and her arms open wide. But as I run towards her, the strangest things start to happens. The room goes dark, both our clothes had changed, and a magenta door looms in the background. I have been here before. But I haven't. Toriel's smile seems concerned, but also scared, her old purple uniform was crinkled. That is unusual for her. She irons everything. But my blue jumper has a streak of blood, running in a diagonal line down my front. Blood? I touch it, it's still wet. And warm. I look up and truly focus on what's happening. It was hers, the blood. She was dying. The knife falls from my hands. Knife? I look down and jump away from it. Wringing my hands. She looks at me confused.

"Oh, oh, no. Mum, mum, MUM. NO. PLEASE WHAT'S HAPPENING?" I cry, tears running down my cheeks. Her expression changes, she knows something is wrong. "What's going on, where am I, who hurt you. I'll kill them. (Well, not really, I could never do that) but please, what is going on!" I cry, she looks up, and splutters, holding one arm on her stomach.

"Do you not remember what just happened my child?" She looks at me worried, but worried for me. Holding out her hand she wipes a tear from my face.

"We we were above ground, we were at school, I was running to hug you and now I am here." I stare down at her, suddenly her eyes widen,

"My child, you're much older, just a second ago you were only seven or eight, but now, you're a teenager. What is going on. You are not the same child that just struck me..."

"Wait, you thought I did this?" My head hurts from all the crying, but it can't stop.

"No, my child, I wasn't you. Not at all."

I fall on her, hugging her. She smelled like cinnamon and butterscotch pie. My favorite. Sniff, breathing in the smell, the small of home. I close my eyes and continue to cry. But suddenly I saw red through my eyelids. Light? But it was pitch black a second ago. How? I open my eyes.

I am back in school. Hugging my mum. Was it all just my imagination? Tears stained my face, not only that but they were still tumbling down my cheeks. Mum peels me off her,

"Oh dear, my child. What has happened? Why are you crying so much, I told you I would see you at school, there was no need to miss me this much." She laughed. She has such a happy laugh. I hug her again, this time I smiled and gripped onto her cardigan squeezing her tight. I pulled my self off of her. Gosh, I am nearly eighteen, and I still act like a child. What must the other students think, humans and monsters alike.

"Bye, Miss Dremurr, I'll see you in English," I sighed. What just happened. Never mind, it can't have been real. I wave good bye with my left hand and started down the hall. With my right hand I wiped away my tears, but in the corner of my eye I saw something...

Why is my hand red?

I look at it, on the palm of my hand was a red stain, but it wasn't a stain. It was still wet. Curious, I subtlety smelled my hand. Iron. I smelled iron.

It wasn't a dream was it?

My hands.

My hands.

It was Toriel's blood.
