It was a hazy night. I heard the birds singing through the mist, even though the atmosphere was tense. It was a yard of a sort. A big green acre of field with a single oak placed in on it's own, in the very middle of a small rectangle of fence. There was no gate. I slowly approached the tree. There was a tall, skinny shadow lingering about it, which appeared to be staring straight through me. As I walked closer and closer to the tree, I noticed how bare it was. This must have meant it was winter. The air seemed to be getting colder. Suddenly, my nose tingled and my mouth felt numb. I stared blankly up at the tree's branches, which were directly above me now, and blinked once. I looked back over at the figure, who I could now see was a boy of about 17, to find that he was directly infront of me, the fence seperating us apart. He silently blew into my face, his breath sweet like honey. I stepped back, shocked at his sudden behaviour, letting his breath fly up into the sky. As it reached the branches, something amazing happened. It froze the first branch, then the second. It froze each branch in it's own time, untill eventually every nook and cranny of the tree was pure white like snow. Then, the miracle worked. Each branch broke off in turn, to be quickly replaced by a new branch. A branch that smelt like sweet delights. A branch that smelt like honey. And then, on every branch, blossom formed. Lilac and pink marshmallows floating in the sky. I gawped at them in amazement. There it was. Hope.
