James POV

It's been only twenty four hours and I feel like I'm losing my mind. I was sitting in the chair next to the bed. The thing that killed me is that she hasn't moved. She's still in the same position she was when I first walked in. There's no signs of anything. I leaned up and took her hand.

"Hey...It's James. I don't know if you can hear me, but I hope you can...because I really, really need you to wake up. The other day, I was watching you perform in rehearsal, from the wings of the stage. You seemed so comfortable up there and living for every moment on that stage. I couldn't imagine you doing anything else. You were happy and...now you're in this hospital bed and..."

I tried to hold back my sobs.

"I just miss hearing your voice. I'd give anything to see that beautiful smile. Your parents and Walker are coming today. They were suppose to be on a flight back yesterday, but were delayed. If not for me, wake up for Walker. He needs you. He needs his mom for when he...goes through his first heartbreak, or when he gets married. Your family needs you...I need you."

I stepped away from the bed still trying to push away this feeling. It was the worst possible feeling I could have. I sat down by the window and watched the cars go by and occasionally looking up at the monitor to see her heartbeat.
