Yu pov

I watched in shock as Mika used whatever life he had left to push my arm away.

"No Yu," he gasped. "I don't drink human blood. "

Ferid rolled his eyes. "Here we go. You are a disgrace of a vampire."

Mika had a fire in his eyes that I had never seen when we were kids. "Well I'm not I'm not like you so-called noble backstabbers," he spat.

Krul struggled. "What is the meaning of this! You've been after my rank, but leave Mika alone!"

Ferid laughed lightly, which was stupid according to the situation. "What do you you think the vampire council will do when they find out where this boy came from?" He nudged Mika with his toe, and he cried out. I stood up in front of Mika protectively.

"If you even touch him I swear," I warned, Gripping my sword tightly. Shinoa put a hand on my shoulder to calm me.

"Yu, stop," She whispered. I got out of my attack stance but I didn't relax.

Ferid chuckled. "Yes, listen to your girlfriend, and go away. We apologize for holding you against your will, so just shoo," He made a careless motion with his hand.

"yes Yu-chan, go save yourself. Don't throw yourself in this mess." Mika coughed wetly. I Kneeled down to look into Mika's eyes.

"No, I will never repeat the same mistakes ever again!" I yelled. "This all happened because I left you behind Mika."

Mika's sharp eyes dulled with tears. He brought a hand up to my chest as if to push me away, but he had lost a lot of energy. His hand fell to the floor.

"You can't blame yourself for what happened to us four years ago," he whispered. He raised his hand again and this time it rested on my cheek.

"Well we'll get out of this together, just don't die."

Mika let out a hint of a smile. "No promises."

"Are you done now?" Ferid snapped. I reluctantly turned my face away from Mika, to glare at him.

"What are you waiting for? He'll drink your blood, if you ask him to! Or do you want him to die?"

I grit my teeth. I suddenly noticed Krul staring at me trying to get my attention. I looked at her as she sneakily pointed to Ferid's hand without him noticing. I nodded, a new hope flying around my chest. I immediately began getting ready to attack, but Shinoa once again stopped me.

"What," I whispered.
"We attack as he's killing the vampire."

That made sense. All three of us knew she wasn't going to survive, because Ferid was mostly after her status.

My attention shifted to Mika struggling to sit up. I immediately ran over to help him.

"All I wanted was to die peacefully know yu had successfully escaped. You vampire bastards took that away from me. But, it is because of krul," he gave me a look. "I was able to see Yu again."
Mika coughed up some more blood and I whispered, "Mika stop talking."

He ignored me. "If you have anything left in your heart, spare Krul."

Ferid just smirked. "You're not going to drink your friend's blood are you? The form you're in right now gives you way too many loopholes that could get me in trouble when I ascend the throne."

"You're going to kill me anyway, why bother?"

"I actually rather liked you Mikaela hyakuya Oh well."

Mika cried out as Ferid sank his teeth into Krul's shoulder.
Both me and Shinoa took action. Shinoa  sliced off an arm and I caught it just as Krul crumpled to the floor.

I poured blood into Mika's mouth. He spat it out.

I was getting extremely pissed. "Now is not the time to be a picky eater!"

"He killed one of the last people that I loved," he mumbled.

"Then live! To remember them! For revenge!" I snapped.

Mika stared at me, and slowly opened his mouth. I smiled to encourage him, but then the hand was kicked out of my grasp.

Ferid was back. "Playing dirty, I see," he sneered. I grabbed my sword in defense.

"Don't worry human boy, I'm not killing you yet, you pleasantly wasted my time. You'll just be wanted fugitives. Also while I'm gone, kindly turn him into vampire would you?"

Ferid dissapeared, with his arm. I looked at Mika helplessly. He was losing life drastically. There was only one thing I could do.
