Hoshi placed the note in Lillie's locker, and walked to her house. He's been spending more time at her house after school than his own, and that was okay. He wanted to make her a small snack and surprise her once she got home. He set the popcorn and chips on the coffee table and hid behind the couch.

"Mom! I had to walk alone because Hoshi left me, and I didn't get to show him my thing!" Lillie whined as she walked in the living room. She tossed herself onto the couch and sighed. Shoving a bunch of popcorn into her mouth.

"BOO!" Hoshi yelled, tickling Lillie.

"hosHI YOU BUTT MUNCHER!" She screamed and laughed.

Both of their hearts raced for each other at the touch of their skin, and the distance between them.
