"You're just imagining things."
"I told you what I saw!" I shouted at Matt.
It was past midnight and Matt had come home a little over an hour ago, only to find me in a panicked state. Right now, I was sitting on the couch, my knees hugged to my chest, trying to convince Matt that what I saw was real.
"Maybe Felix got a shard in his paw." he tried to reason, for the blood trail.
I gave a sarcastic laugh, "Yeah, right. It must have been Felix who swept up all the shards and then walked over to the door, opened it and disappeared."
He shrugged, "You must have done it."
I glared at him, heat rushing to my head in an instant, "Are you implying that I'm making this up?"
"Whoa, whoa." he held up his hands in surrender, "That's not what I meant. I just meant that maybe your imagination is playing tricks on you."
I threw up my hands in frustration, "Why don't you freaking believe me!?"
Matt sighed, "Kat, it's late and we're both tired. Let's just go to sleep. We'll discuss this in the morning, yeah?"
I gave up with a sigh. It was useless talking to him because he probably thought amnesia wasn't the only thing the blow to the head caused.
After double checking the lock of every door and window, I finally went upstairs to my room and fell into bed.
As soon as my head hit the pillow, thoughts started swirling around my head, like they were waiting for the exact moment I would try to sleep.
Nobody knew about my 'accident' except Matt and Ashton. And the doctor. Should I tell Sara? Should I tell Jax? I scoffed. Jax. As if he would care. When he had the guts to desert me like this, I doubt he would give a damn. But Sara, she deserved to know. She's my friend. Correction: my only friend. The only person who dared to accept the weird mess that is me. "I will tell her" I decide to myself, "When the time is right."

"That blackout was the worst thing." Zac commented.
It was break time for some employees that included Zac, Sara, Molly and me. We were all huddled by the kitchen door, coffees in our hands.
"I know, right?" Sara replied, "I swear I must have bumped into a thousand things!"
I rolled my eyes with a laugh. Leave it to Sara to make bumping into things sound like a national catastrophe.
"Anyway," Zac said, "Sara, I was wondering....maybe we could go out for a movie tonight? Only if you want to!"
I smiled at Zac's timidness. He was being all cute and sweet and I was sure it was going to win Sara over.
"I, uh-" Sara stuttered, "I mean, why not? I'd love to."
Zac gave her a smile. He threw away his empty coffee cup into trash and said, "That's wonderful. 9 PM works for you?"
"Perfect." she replied.
"Great! So... I should be getting back to work now." Zac said, pointing towards the kitchen with his thumb.
Sara giggled, "Go Zac."
After he had went, Molly got called away for something. That left just Sara and me. "What a dork." I said to Sara.
She laughed, "Agreed."
"By the way," I said, "Just before the lights went out, you were telling me something. What was it, something about being watched?"
