~Bella's P.O.V.~
I stared at Emily. This couldn’t be happening. Suddenly, Emily burst out laughing. “Oh you thought I was serious? Hitting on Niall? Oh that was too funny” She laughed. I glared at her.
"That was anything but funny Emily" I told her narrowing my eyes. "If you had actually gotten brain damage that would be miserable" Emily shifted in her bed, scrunching her nose confused.
“So how exactly did I end up here though? All I remember was leaving the hotel" She said utterly confused. Emily looked like she was thinking very hard and trying to
I sighed. She would have to know sooner or later. “Chloe hit you with a car. It’s my fault. She said she was going to ruin my life, so she started with you first by probably trying to kill you” I explained to her.
“That little prick” Emily muttered under her breathe. “So what’s the damage?”
My thoughts went back to what the doctor had said. “Well you had a punctured lung, and you started to cough up blood, so that’s what the surgery was for. You broke your arm in two places” I said motioning towards her blue cast on her arm. “You also have some damage done to your head. They don’t know how extensive it is yet. They will find out once you go through some tests” I finished.
“And?” she asked.
“That’s it. I guess you didn’t suffer THAT much damage” I said trying to sound positive.
“If that’s it, then why can’t I feel my legs” Emily said, panic washing over her face. Huh? I looked at her confused. "I can't feel my legs, and they won't move" she said, motioning to her legs under her blanket.
"Are you sure they are still there?" I joked, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. She moved the blanket aside. Sure enough, legs were there. They looked normal basically.
“Uh… Let me get the doctor” Emily started to breathe harder, like she was having a panic attack. I opened the door of her room. The doctor was standing outside the room with Harry and Niall. His nametag read Dr. Carr.
“Um…. Doctor, Emily needs to talk to you” I told him, giving him a look to try and tell him that something was wrong. I didn't want anyone else
The doctor nodded. I moved aside as he entered the room. I was about to close the door behind us, when Harry stopped the door. “What’s going on? Why doesn’t Emily want to see me?” Harry asked. His eyes werer read, and he looked like he was about to cry again.
“Harry you just have to be patient, she is going through some stress right now” I told him. Harry didn’t look convinced, but sat down on the bench once more.
I sighed and gave Niall a half smile before closing the door. As I turned towards Emily in the hospital bed, I found her sitting up, and leaning forward as the doctor checked out her back. “Do you know what’s wrong?” I asked him worriedly.
