This story was suggested by skyrimislols, and I gotta say, this story quickly got out of hand and before I knew it, it became a lemon... I was originally going to stick with cuddling and other fluffy shit but this happened. Anyways, enjoy this Vilkas X Dohvakiin one shot.

By the way, I'm thinking of writing a separate story all about Agris x Dohvkiin, but I'm not sure yet. It would be awesome to hear your suggestions.

ONWARDS!!! (SNK reference, just ignore it. I'm a real geek)

The empty red bottles of healing potions fell one after one after I emptied out its contents into my mouth before hearing it shattering behind me. The pain slowly became manageable somehow, but it wasn't enough.

Obviously, it wasn't enough.

I knew no restoration magic at all to save me from my current situation, let alone any strength to fend from the remaining enemies that I have yet left to put down. But I really didn't care if they got me or not anymore. All that mattered to me was that I failed my most important mission of all, and it had nothing to do with the damned Alduin, the world eater. Nothing of that sort mattered to me. It was a personal mission of mine, and I couldn't even see it to the end.

My knees buckled under me, forcing my body weight to fall forwards, landing on the rough, broken concrete floor. My eyes blurred with tears as I lay on the ground with my breath coming out in haggard puffs. The memories swarmed me again as I saw his innocent face smiling at me through the red flames engulfing the wooden house before it all collapsed down on him.

I clenched my hand into tight fists, collecting the dirt underneath me in my bloody hand, tears shamefully spilling down my flushed cheeks with gritted teeth.

A sudden growl echoed throughout the mountain followed by painful grunts, a growl I was very familiar with, and before I knew it, my surroundings fell quiet. At this point, I knew that my enemies were all slain by something.

"There!" my vision became more blurry, and this time it was not caused by my tears. I could make out a figure coming towards me, lifting me up carefully around my neck and arms. I grabbed onto his shirt, my eyes trying to hold the spilling tears as I managed to cry out the words that would forever leave me feeling guilty, hearing my voice break at the end

"I was...too late.." and then everything went completely black.

The door to the Companion's Hold flung open, revealing a tired looking Vilkas walking down the steps and towards me and my horse, Frost, who neighed happily at the male's presence. He held his hand out for the horse to nuzzle his nose onto it with happy snorts as he brushed his white mane.

"Sorry if I woke you up, Vilkas. I tried to be as quiet as I can" I placed more potions into Frosts' saddle before I closed the flap, the occasional glint from the hidden weapons shimmering every now and then.

Vilkas turned towards me, hands leaving the horse which sounded his longing for his touch with a snort and a tapping with his hooves on the ground, and reached out for my gloved hands. His grey eyes swam with worry at the decision I made last night, and he knew I wouldn't change my mind at the way my eyes didn't waver at his strong gaze.

"At least take someone with you - take me"

"Don't worry" I cupped his face with my small hands and leaned in for a kiss, only having it returned much more strongly than I anticipated as I stumbled backward, but his hands quickly shot up behind me, holding me securely from around the waist before pulling back.
