"I have to go to a meeting, I will be back in about an hour, I'm going to bring back Chinese." "Okay, sounds like a plan! I love you, be safe." "I love you too." Then Rick left.
Kate was in the bathroom, she just got done taking a nice bath. She was now dressed in leggings and one of Rick's shirts that had become hers early on in their relationship.
Rick knocked on the door for the house. "Rick?" "Hello Mr.Beckett, can I talk to you please?" "Uh, yeah sure, is something wrong with Katie?" Jim asked concerned about his daughter. "No, no she is fine, perfect actually." "So why are you here? What can I do for you?" "Um, I was here because Kate and I have been dating for a while and I was wondering if I could have your daughter's hand in marriage." "Now Rick, I would not be doing my job as a father if I did not ask you questions, so what do you plan for with my Katie?" "Well I plan on being a supporting husband, to protect her and take care of her." "Well then, yes Rick you have my blessing to marry my daughter, but if you hurt her I will have you know I own a new shotgun that I am waiting to test out." "Yes sir. I promise I will not intentionally hurt her." "Alright, bye Rick." "Goodbye." After that Rick went to get the food for him and Kate.
