Chapter 13: Going Home

"I can't believe we are leaving." Kate said. She was excited to go start her life with Rick, but she was going to miss Europe. "Don't worry we will come back." "Flight 334 to New York is now boarding first class passengers." The couple got their stuff together and then boarded the plane.
7hours and 46minutes later...
"Welcome Home!" They heard everybody scream as they came off the flight, "Hi!" they said hugging everyone. "How was your trip?" "Phenomenal, but we are happy to be home."
2 weeks later...
Today was Christmas Eve, it was also Castle and Beckett's first Christmas Eve and Christmas as a married couple and they were both excited.
Every Castle was sitting in front of the fireplace talking about the past year. Finally, at 10:00pm everyone went to bed with Christmas cheer!
Kate rolled over to see Rick looking back at her. "Hey, Merry Christmas." Kate said. "Merry Christmas." Rick said then kissed his wife. When they got out of bed and went into the living room Martha and Alexis were sitting on stools in the kitchen. "Merry Christmas!" After 'Merry Christmas' were exchanged they all sat in front of the tree.
"Okay Alexis this is to you from Grams." Alexis opened the present and saw a beautiful purse. "Thank you Grams." "Your welcome, darling." Next was Kate, her present was from Alexis. It was 2 mugs, 1 had the 'save-the-date' card picture that Kate loved and the other had a wedding picture. "Oh Lex, thank you!" "No problem." Then Martha opened a gift from Alexis, it was a bright yellow dress, very Martha. "Oh, Alexis darling thank you!" "No problem." It was now Rick's turn to open a gift, it was a 'Luke Skywalker' action figure from Alexis, "Thank you, Pumpkin." "Your welcome." Alexis then opened the next gift, it was a beautiful green shirt from Kate. "Thank you Kate! It's lovely!" "Good, I'm glad you like it!" Now it was Kate's turn, she opened her present from Martha, it was a full DVD pack of 'Temptation Lane' signed by the cast. "Oh Martha, thank you so much!" "Don't worry about it, kiddo!" Martha opened her present from Kate, it was a nice gold bracelet. "Thank you Katherine!" "You're welcome Martha." Rick's turn came again and he opened his gift from Martha which was a 'Star Wars' phone case, "Thank you mother." "Not a problem." Now it was everyone's last present! Alexis opened hers from her dad and was really excited to see a new laptop! "Thanks Daddy!" "Your welcome." Martha opened her present from Rick next, it was a new pair of earrings, "Oh, Richard! How beautiful!" "Happy you like them!" Rick then opened his present from Kate, it was a watch with their wedding photo as the background, "Kate, I love it!" "Great, I'm glad." He then pulled her in for a hug and handed her, her gift. When she opened it she saw a charm bracelet with a picture of her and Martha, a picture of her and Alexis, and Rick and Kate's wedding photo that had an inscription that said 'Always' on the little frame/charm. "Oh, babe this is so beautiful." "And, when we add to our family you put more charm pictures." "Thank you, I love you." "Love you too." The couple then kissed.
