Kate had scheduled to get the dresses on October 15, the girls would get their flowers picked out on October 25, another fitting would be November 5, November 6 Rick and Kate would get their rings, then the girls would get their nails done November 9 on the way to Kate's apartment so Rick and Kate didn't see each other until the ceremony. Today was October 15 which means wedding dress day! Kate, Alexis, and Martha left the loft and went to Lanie's apartment where they got Lanie, Jenny, and Sarah-Grace.
When they got to the dress shop a nice lady directed them to a seating area to wait for a helper. Kate never expected to see the helper until the wedding, "Maddie!?" "Bex!? OMG! Hi!" Maddie said, "Hey, are you my helper?" "Yes I am." "Okay." "So, Bex I got the invite so I know your wedding is in the fall and I RSVP'd so I know it's on the beach, but I don't know what dress you want." "Well, I want something very simple with just a little bling." "Okay, I have the perfect dress." Maddie directed Kate to the fitting rooms. Maddie came back with a dress and Kate changed into it. It was beautiful, it was a halter-too, with a line of diamonds at the top of her stomach. When Kate walked out of the fitting room she heard all of the girls gasp, "Katherine!" "It's beautiful Kate, Dad is going to die when he sees you." "Yeah, you really think so?" Kate asked. She never did this, until she met Rick she never even thought about getting married. "Yeah, he is!" "Okay, I'll take it!" "So, are we just shopping for you, Bex, or for the whole bridal party?" "We are shopping for the whole bridal party." Kate had not told the girls who was what in the wedding. Maddie directed Kate back to the fitting room. "So Bex, who is your bridal party?" Maddie asked after putting Kate's dress on hold for the next fitting. "Yeah Kate, who is your bridal party?" Lanie asked, "Well, I was wondering if Alexis would like to be my Maid-Of-Honor?" Everybody was shocked. They all thought Lanie would be Kate's Maid-Of-Honor, but if Kate wanted Alexis to be her Maid-Of-Honor on her wedding day, Lanie was ok with that. "I would love to be your Maid-Of-Honor Kate!" Alexis said, she then got up and the two women hugged. "Which means Lanie, Jenny you wanna be my bridesmaids?" "Of course!" they said while hugging Kate as well. Kate then walked over to Sarah-Grace and squatted down in front of her niece, "You wanna be Aunt Katie's flower girl?" "Yes!" Sarah-Grace yelled and jumped into her aunt's arms. "Okay, let's start with our Maid-Of-Honor, Alexis." "Yes, Rick and I decided to use our wedding colors for the dresses, so Alexis will have a lavender purple dress." "Long or short?" "Long." "Okay, I have the dress your looking for, so Alexis can you please come with me." Maddie guided Alexis to the fitting rooms then went in search of the dress. When Alexis came out of the room everyone thought she looked radiant. She was wearing a lavender purple dress that was long with a rose on her right hip.
Then it was Lanie and Jenny's turn. Their dresses were just like Alexis' except for their dresses where ocean blue. Finally, Sarah-Grace was up, her dress was a beautiful lavender dress that had a ball gown bottom, lace top, and a rose in the center.
After the ladies had their dresses in the room for their next fitting they thanked Maddie and left.
