When Rick got home with the food Kate was sitting on a stool in the kitchen. "Hey." "Hey, babe." Kate replied. They ate in silence and then Castle spoke up: "Kate, you are very special to me and I don't ever want to lose you, so this is just a question, but it's a question I have been waiting a while to ask..." "Rick..." She knew where this was going.
Rick then got down on 1 knee and asked, "Katherine Houghton Beckett, will you marry me?" "Rick, yes, yes I will marry you!" He then slipped the ring onto her left ring-finger. It was beautiful, it was a round cut with diamonds surrounding the big diamond and the ring. "This is so beautiful, I love it." She then kissed him with love and appreciation. For the rest of the night the newly engaged couple sat on the couch and watched movies.
