I eventually arrived at my house in the Georgia woods. My house doesn't really look like a house it looks kind of like a giant log with windows and doors. It's actually built in a tree that stopped living long ago thats is until I made it my home. The inside is very cozy and warm theres a couch and a fireplace in the main room and a staircase leading up to my bedroom. Theres also a little hallway that leads to my kitchen. When I opened the door to my house I was surprised to find a letter sitting on my coffee table in the main room. The letter was white like the full moon and sealed with a dark blue seal on it. I opened the letter to find written in handwriting I have never seen before:
'Winter is not the last.'I wasn't quite sure what it meant but I had a hunch. I had received a letter before from my Mother and Father ,but I had never received a letter like this. It didn't even have a signature at the end of it. I decided to dwell on it later ,so I went upstairs and stuffed it into my desk drawer in my room. I had better things to do than dwell on a mysterious letter.
Autumn had come early this year which meant I had a lot of work to do. I had to help all the animals get ready for winter by storing food and eating lots to get ready for hibernation. I have to make sure all the trees start to loose their leaves and hibernate. I have to make sure all the crops that have been growing all year are harvested. Additionally I want to make sure all the kids are going to school and enjoying it even if they can't see me. It will help me maybe become a Guardian even if Winter is the last one or not.
I had already helped the southern states of America yesterday start to store food, hibernate, and harvest their crops. Today I had decided to go to the northern states. First stop was Pennsylvania, one of my favorites. I touched down in the city of Philadelphia and was immediately greeted by a squirrel passing by on his way to the forest. I started to follow until I heard the cry of a frightened animal nearby. I jumped up and followed the sound of it's cries until I arrived in the town square. (A/N: I don't know much about Philadelphia sorry) On one of the streets nearby was a Deer with a leg bent the wrong way. A little ways ahead a car had stopped and a Mother got out. What was a deer doing in the middle of the city? I landed near the deer and slowly approached trying not to startle it. But then the mother started to run towards it. The deer leapt up and tried to run away only falling back down in a heap in the middle of the street. I quickly picked it up and ran trying not to make it look suspicious I didn't want the Mother freaking out over a floating deer. I darted towards the forest avoiding crowds of people on the way. When I was sure I was deep enough in the forest so no one would see the 'floating deer'. I set the deer down and proceeded to examine it's leg I gently touched it and the deer whimpered. I wanted to know what the Deer's name was and why it was in the city ,so I decided to ask before I did anything. I asked "What's your name?" The deer replied "Daylily" "What a pretty name!" I said. "Can I ask why you were in the middle of the street?" I asked. Daylily replied, "I was looking for my fawn and I saw the Easter Bunny near the edge of the city I was going to ask him for help but then he went into the city so I followed." That's strange I thought why would the Easter Bunny be in Philadelphia? I thought he usually was underground or in his home continent Australia. I guess maybe he was doing a favor for another Guardian, oh well. I told Daylily I would help her look for her fawn ,and eventually after we found her fawn I went to help the other animals prepare for winter. I helped the squirrels and the chipmunks store food. I made sure all the bears had a cave to hibernate in. I was able to get most of the areas in Pennsylvania and Illinois done. So, I decided to go home for the night, I was flying over the treetops when I saw a fluffy tail and grey hind legs run on the forest floor. I started to fly down to investigate when I saw the Easter Bunny emerge in front of my house. What was he doing?
