Chapter 3: The Public

Mackenzie's POV
-
"Bye Ash! Thanks for the ride!" I say as I wave to Brynn's mom

Then we walk into 'OakRidge Mall'
"Where shall we go first?" I ask Brynn, in a British accent

"How bout we go to the Star of Bucks?" She replies in a British accent also

"Don't mind if we do" I reply
Then we both laugh.

*short time skip*

"I'd like a Vanilla Lattè please" I ask the chasheer.

"Okay! And what would you like?" He asks Brynn

"Same as her!" She says

*Very short time skip*

"Ahhh, nothing could make this day any better!" I say
"Besides the shopping spree we're gonna go on!" She says

Brynn and I sit in the circular arrangement of chairs in the middle of the mall, right under a big skylight

"Bitch alert" Brynn says with a look on her face
I turn my head to see Chloe, accompanied my her minions, Brooke and Paige

"So you're going on a shopping spree? Is that so?" She asks
"Yes" I say, choking on my words
"Where at?"
"Actually, we were going to go to-" she cuts me off
"The Dollar Tree???" She spits out
Then Brooke and Paige fake laugh at the World's Worst Come Back.
"Well I gotta go" I say standing up "I got a life to get to" Brynn laughs.

Then Brynn and I sashay away while Chloe has smoke blowing out her ears.

Brynn and I high five each other and laugh
Chloe's POV
"THIS IS NOT OVER!" I scream to the hog walking away
"Girls" I begin "We need to plan something-some revenge. That she CAN'T avoid!"
"Like a prank?" Paige says cluelessly
"Yes! Genius" I say
"What shall that prank be?" I ask with a smirk on my face
"How about at school, we put photoshopped pictures of her looking fat in her locker!" Brooke says
"Go on..." I say
"And we have silicone pigs, and raw pork in there too!"
"I LOVE IT!" I shout. Then everyone stares "What are you looking at??" I remark
Brynn's POV
I really hope Kenzie is doing okay. With all the hate she's getting on social media, I would expect her to be a wreck.

But she's a strong willed person.

I just really hope she tells me if she's sad, I care about her. And I never want to see her sad.

Mackenzie's POV
How bout this?? I ask, holding up a baby blue, white flower patterned dress.
"That's REALLY cute" she says
I am so happy I have Brynn here. She completes my life.
After what seemed like 10 other stores, we walk out of the mall with 5 bags full of  clothes and shoes.
"Where to next?" I ask.
"The movies!" She says
Since the cinema is REALLY close to the mall, we just walk.
Then we see a black sports car drive past us. Which just so happens to belong to Chloe. I roll my eyes
"Hey look! It's the hog!" Paige points and laughs
Then Chloe throws trash at me
"Oops, seems like the trash is getting trash!" Chloe remarks
"No, looks like the trash is throwing herself" I say
Then gasp and drives away "Bitch!" She yells

I have to admit, that was probably the cheesiest line of all time, but it was pretty good for on-the-spot.

As we arrive at the movies, Brynn and I wait outside and discuss what movie we wanna watch

"How bout...." I begin "The 5th Wave!"
"Nahhhh" Brynn replies. I'm not that surprised because Brynn isn't into Si-Fi that much "How bout...... Fifty Shades of Grey!"

My heart sank to my stomach. I'm a goody two shoes so this is a little, or should I say a lot, out of my comfort zone. But I'm 13 now, and I wanna become more, more, what's the word, exciting! And rambunctious. So I decide to say yes.

"Oooooooo. Why not!" I say
"Looks like the Goody Goody is coming out of her comfort zone!" Brynn says satisfied
"But how are we gonna get in??" I ask
Then Brynn whips out two fake IDs

"WAIT A MINUTE!" I ask
"What???"
"Are they even still playing Fifty Shades???"
"They are playing the un-rated version"
My cheeks turn bright red
"Let's get a poppin!" I say

"What would you two young ladies like to see tonight?"
"Two tickets for fifty shades please" Brynn asks
SHE LOOKS SO RETARDED RN OMFFF
"Uhhhh, you gals look a little young to see that"
Then she whips out the IDs. Unconvinced, the guy gives us our tickets and popcorn.
"Thank youuuu" I say
*time skip*
As I cover my eyes almost the whole movie, Brynn looks like she's enjoying herself.
"Come on Kenzie, lighten up!" She says, pushing my shoulder
Oh ya, I'm supposed to be a cool person now.
So I uncover my eyes and watch the movie
And I'm not too please about what I see.
But I get a big gulp of my drink to wash down the pain.
Then I hear a camera shutter
Chloe's POV
We decided to follow Hog and Brynn into the movie
And for extra black mail, I got a few snapshots of her
"My personal favorite is the one where she's taking a drink" I say to my minions
May not seem to bad, but I have a trick up my sleeve.
I'm gonna photoshop the drink out of her hand, and it will look like she's... Idk how to but it nicely, getting the D.

Kenzie's POV
I look behind me to see Chloe.
"Bitch alert" I whisper to Brynn
"Don't let her ruin your time, Kenzie" Brynn says

So I listen to her. And I continue to watch the movie, while Chloe and her anteragè throw popcorn at the back of my head.

Then finally, the movie is over.

Brynn and I go through the back exit to avoid adults questioning our age.

We decide to skip dinner because we are filled up on popcorn, so Ashlee picks us up from the cinema.

"How was the movie girls?" She asks with a perky tone
"GREAT" Brynn says, drawing out each word. Then we look at eachother and laugh
*bzzz bzzzt*
I get a text from the one and only, Chloe.

"Mack Z getting horny durring Fifty Shades" Accompanied by the photoshopped picture of me drinking my soda
