I woke up the next morning as happy as I was when I saw my favorite soccer player in person.

I changed into my favorite pair of jeans and slipped my feet into my pirate black Yeezy boosts.

As soon as my mom dropped me off at school, I sprinted to where Hilary and Brad were waiting for me.

"We got your text, what was the great news?", Hilary asked. We began walking while we talked.

"Remember that one kid I had this huge crush on in 6th grade?", I said. "Hunter?", Brad said. "No the one that knows my dad."

Hilary's eyes widened. "No way! It can't be!" Brad froze. "Jacob.", he mumbled.

I smiled. "My dad said that he came back to his office yesterday, he also said that Jacob asked about me!"

We made it to history and sat down in our seats. Weston quickly looked at me.

"Oh hey Weston! It's such a beautiful day isn't it?", I exclaimed in a daydreaming way.

He smiled in a weird way. "You're acting really weird...I like it."

"Ok class! Take your seats I have assigned a very important group project for all of you!", our teacher said.

The project had the partners chosen in a weird way. One person had to choose from a basket a random paper and who Evers name was in the paper was your partner.

She handed the basket to Weston first.

"Since you're new to this, go ahead and choose."

He stuck his hand into the basket and slowly pulled out a paper. He slowly opened it and a small smile creeped up on his face. His eyes moved up to look at me. Weston slowly turned it around to where I could see the name.

It was right there in big bold letters.

America Walters

"Wow! What a coincidence! I guess Weston and America are partners.", the teacher said.

All the girls sighed, some screamed no.

Weston looked pretty happy with his decision, well way too happy.

I walked out of PE clutching my water bottle tight in my hand.

"Another great mile Walters!", my gym teacher shouted giving me a high five.

"I never let you down.", I laughed.

I set my backpack on a lunch table while I switched my shoes back into my yeezys.

"Hey America.", a cocky voice flirted. I looked up and saw Weston drinking out of my water bottle. I quickly grabbed it from his hands and stuffed it in my backpack.

"So I was wondering...if we're partners now we should kinda work together on the project.", he said.

"How.", I asked.

"We can go to eachother a houses and work on it.", he said. "Oh ok, wanna come over now?"

He smiled and quickly said yes.

~~~
When we walked into my house the first thing Weston did was take off his shoes and lay on the couch.
"What the heck?", I asked laughing.
Weston lifted his head. "Oh yea. I do this all the time. I'm super tired right now so it's normal."
I laughed.
The garage door opened and revealed my dad. "Hey America. I have some news for you.", he said. But he froze when he saw Weston.
"Who's this?", he asked.
I looked at Weston. "This is Weston Koury, he's new to the school and he's my partner for a project. So what was the good news?", I asked.
My dad smiled. "Jacob came again and asked if he could see you. He said he misses you and wants to play soccer with you again. So I asked him if he would like to come over. His parents allowed him to come today."
I jumped up and down. "At what time?"
"In about 3 hours. So you and your friend better get a lot done before Jacob gets here."
I quickly sat back down with Weston and began to work.
"Who's Jacob?", he asked after a while.
I smiled. "Jacob was my first huge crush. He was on one of my teams before I went to a club. He was like my best friend. It turned out he said he likes me too on the last day I would ever see him. It was really devastating. I never got over him."
Weston's smile dropped down.
After about an hour of working on the project, we decided to take a break. Weston and I ran outside to my backyard.
"Watch this!",he shouted as he began to climb the tree. As soon as he hit the top he looked down at me and waved.
"I bet I can climb faster than you did!",I shouted. He smirked. "Prove it!"
I grabbed onto the side of the tree and put my foot in the first branch. I kept going up and made my way to where Weston was. I sat next to him and smirked.
"I guess we now know who the real pro at climbing trees is.", I smiled. Weston chuckled. "I'll beat you someday America."
