It was November 5, 2016. The weather was breezy, well more like a little cold I guess.

Weston never got mad. He's still my friend. He's my best friend. And Jacob. Well Jacob, he's something else. Always protected me, loved me, cared for me. Weston said we were inseparable. All till the day I got that one text that changed everything.

"America you're boyfriend texted you!", Mateo shouted from the living room. I rushed out of the bathroom and picked up my phone.

"What did he say?", Mateo asked.

I bit my lip and looked at Mateo with said eyes.

Jacob❣- bad news...my parents found the economy in Virginia better. We're moving there.

I quickly ran out of the house. Mateo attempted to chase after me, but he saw what I was doing so he stayed back.

I sprinted as fast as I could to Weston's house. That was always the first place I went when I felt like bursting into tears. I ran up the steps to his house and banged on the door.

Weston opened it and I wrapped my arms around him and cried. I just cried into his chest.

"What's happening?", he asked.

"J-Jacob's moving.", I cried.

Weston made a 'O' shape with his mouth. He wiped the tears off my face and hugged me.

"Why don't you go talk to him? C'mon. I'll walk you there.", he said.

That honestly made me feel a lot better.

We made it Jacob's house. He saw is coming through the window so Jacob opened the front door. I could tell he was crying too.

I looked up at Weston and he nudged his head towards Jacob. I smiled and ran to Jacob hugging him and not letting him go. He picked me up so I could wrap my legs around his torso. It felt nice being with him right now.

"I leave tomorrow.", I heard him whisper.

That's when I cried even more.

"I know I can't stop you from leaving. So I'm just gonna be happy for you.", I mumbled into his shoulder. He sighed and moved my head to face him.

"Listen to me America. Even though I'll be all the way at the other side of the United States, I will still love you. I will never forget you."

I nodded and cried more.

"I'll not go to school tomorrow. Weston and I will go leave you at the airport. Please Jacob."

He looked down.

"Our flight leaves at 5am. I don't think you should."

I cupped his face in my hands and looked into his eyes. "No..."

He pushed me back and looked at Weston. Weston came up to us and laid a hand on my arm. "It's okay. Let's go."

I pushed him and grabbed Jacob once more. Hugging him tightly again. That's when he kissed me. He kissed me once more.

"When will I see you again?", I asked.

He brushed his lips against mine.

"We'll see."

He kissed me once last time before closing the door. "I'll miss you.", I whispered to myself.

I turned around and hugged Weston. "Weston, promise you'll never leave. No matter what."

He rubbed my back. "I won't leave you America. I'm here. And I'm not going anywhere."
