This was it. This was the day that Tyler would be going out.
With Josh.
He's never felt so lucky in his life and he was still having a hard time that this was all real. It was just so..great. And he's never wanted anything else in the world. Only Josh and he was set for the rest of his life.
Of course, if the red head would allow that to happen.
Tyler ruffled his hair up in the mirror in his bathroom, looking over himself to make sure he looked perfect. Yeah, they were only going to IHOP, but still, he didn't want to look like a slob or something. So instead of sweatpants, he wore jeans and he added a little gel to his hair.
He could be classy when he wanted to be.
Tyler stopped himself from picking anymore at his appearance and made his way out of his apartment and to his car. It took him only fifteen minutes to get to the already familiar setting of Josh's apartment and he parked right out front, not bothering with getting out, instead taking his phone.
Tyler: Hey, I'm outside.
Tyler half expected a response, but there was none. He furrowed his brows and chewed on his bottom lip.
Tyler: Josh? I'm here, what are you sleeping?
It wouldn't surprise him if Josh was indeed sleeping, that boy could sleep for awhile. The past week, he came over to give him coffee and the man was sleeping. Last night, they spoke over the phone and he was telling a story when Josh started snoring. Josh felt horrible, but Tyler dismissed it. In fact, he found it funny and really cute.
Tyler waited a few more moments and then he began to grow worried for the other man, picking at his nails nervously as he thought. He was about to go in and bust his door down, with the door to the apartment complex nearly slammed open. There he was. Josh stumbled out, his face heated up.
"Hey, what's up? You good?" Tyler asked immediately as soon as Josh got into the car and buckled up.
Josh took a deep breath, pushing his hair away from his face. Which was dripping wet. "Yeah..I'm fine. I just uh..slept in on accident than remembered the time when I was in the shower." He explained with a sheepish smile.
Tyler has to hold himself back from physically 'awwing' at him because wow that was cute. "That's fine, Josh. Not a big deal." He assured him and pulled out of the parking lot.
"So, how's your day been?" Josh asked, obviously trying to start a conversation.
"It's alright. Better now that I've seen you," Tyler said with a little grin. Josh's face brightened up and he giggled a little. Goodness, Josh just giggled and he may of just died right there.
Tyler snapped out of it and focused back on the road. Deciding that it would probably be better for him not to crash and ruin their perfect date. Even if it was to IHOP and he just might die by the end of it from Josh being too cute. "Tell me about your day."
Josh smiled and then launched into an entire detailed story about how he was late to his morning classes, but it was okay because his professors were even more late. Then how he had went home and pretty much slept the entire day away until waking up in a panic and rushing.
"I just felt so bad," Josh said as he got out of the car and waited for Tyler.
Tyler's brows furrowed and he locked up his car before joining Josh by his side. "Why did you feel bad?"
"I dunno..because I've been waiting all week for this and here I was sleeping."
Tyler laughed and shook his head, hesitantly intertwining their fingers together, mentally preparing himself for Josh to pull away. But, the redhead didn't, he squeezed his hand as if to show that the hand holding was fine and again, he's never felt so relaxed.
