*5 years later*

Since I had nowhere else to stay for a while Raizel let me stay in his home. It was amazing but I've came to learn that Raizel lives in this house all alone.
Must be lonely?
And that he's a true noblesse. I still wasn't exactly sure what that was, even though the Lord explained it too me a thousand times. Eventually I got the idea, but it never changed how I acted around Raizel.
I've even spent time and got to know the Lord and the clan leaders. The Lord was kind of weird no matter how many times I visited him.

Since staying with Raizel, every day he would always stare out the window all the time. I never thought about it for a while until I saw it was the only thing he ever did. Some days I would go outside and explore the forest, and every time I came back he was in the same spot.
This was the same for 5 years...he never even went outside.

I was out hopping through the trees of the forest. I was on my way back to Raizel's house. As I am, I took things overboard and was hopping to fast. Without even realizing in, when I made it through there was nothing else to hop onto.

Mei: uh oh.

I realized I was up to far.
Plus I was heading straight for Raizel's window, exactly where he was standing.

Mei: Raizel, watch out!

He finally noticed me.
Just when I thought I'd crash into him. I didn't. Raizel immediately caught me and his footing through the window before he tipped over.

Mei: ah. Sorry....

Raizel sat me down on the windowsill.

Mei: thanks. Your a good catch, Raizel.

He nodded at me and turned to look back out the window.

Mei: ...Raizel, I've been around here 5 years now, I notice you never leave the house. Is there a reason why you won't leave?
Raizel: no. I often go outside.
Mei: really? Its just that I've never seen you go outside.
Raizel: I left the house 5 years ago to meet the Lord.
Mei: 5 years...but that was back when we first met.
Raizel: yes.

Raizel hasn't left since the first day we ever met...? He only goes outside if he has something to do...?

Mei: ...what are you looking at while standing in the same spot?
Raizel: ...the sky, forest, ground....I see everything I can from this window.
Mei: why not go outside and look at all that? And not from this window? Its pretty amazing out there.
Raizel: no, this is enough for me.
Mei: ...?

Looking out of this small window is enough for him....?

Mei: ....but you'll miss so much. I've seen so many things while traveling the world. There are places here that are covered entirely in grass, snow, rocks, and even sand.....I've even been to the snowy mountains.

Raizel was now looking at me with interest.

Mei: yeah. You know when your off the mountains the land is filled with snow, but when you reach the top it's snowing a lot.
Raizel: ...?
Mei: yeah, for real! And being close to a volcano is even more interesting....try not to touch it though.
Raizel: ...!
Mei: interesting right?
Raizel: ....

My happy expressions soften a little. And now I looked out of the window.

Mei: but doing it all alone isn't as fun as having someone with you to experience it with. Its not that fun at all.

I looked down at my feet, trying not to meet Raizel's gaze.

Mei: ....Raizel, I wanted to explore the rest of Lukedonia for a while...

I reached up and tugged on the shirt of his arm lightly.

Mei: ...when I come back...

I looked up at him.

Mei: ...will you come outside with me for a bit?

He stared at me for a moment, then nodded once at me with his apathetic face.
But it made me really happy.

Mei: hmp. Thanks for understand Raizel.

I let go of his shirt and look back out the window.

Mei: this view is pretty decent. I've seen better though.

I stood up, balancing myself on the windowsill.

Mei: you know, since we're acquainted so well, I'll give you a nickname......hmm...how does Rai sound?

He smiled and nodded once again.

Mei: great! From now on I'll call you Rai.

As I was about to turn and leave, Rai caught my wrist, stopping me.

Mei: ...?....what is it, Rai?
Raizel: Mei?...when you come back...will you be my wife?
Mei: ...!?
