I would have no problem with this kingdom if not for those none normals, the negative energy, and the way the king is ruling it. The humans here are so nice, some even gave me food.
I stopped when I saw the little human Prince.

Mei: ...hello, Calem.

He turned to look up at me.

Mei: ...
Calem: that's Prince Calem to you.
Mei: no.
Calem: what!? But you have to follow my orders, that's the rule!
Mei: I never agreed to follow any rules from a child. To me you are just Calem.
Calem: ....
Mei: I will adress you at least by that and nothing else.
Calem: ugh. Do I never get any respect because of my age?!
Mei: that's exactly it.

Calem sighed in defeat.

Mei: ...you seem distressed. Do you want to talk about it?
Calem: ...not here.
Mei: ....

We both travel back into the castle and we both sat down for drinks. I took a while for the boy to talk. I just assumed he was putting together his thoughts.

Calem: Everyone assumes just because I'm young that I don't know anything. I actually know more than I should. And having to create this battle with my dad is exactly what I need to prove it to him that I can rule without age of the body but the mind.
Mei: ...I will admit, looks can be deceiving for some. It happens to me too. But is an actual war against your father necessary?
Calem: yes! Its completely necessary.
Mei: ....

I studied the boy a lot carefully. He seemed pretty serious.

Mei: will this war be beneficial to the kingdom?
Calem: if I win I get to become king, then I can fix this messed up system that my dad created.
Mei: will people have to die in this battle?
Calem: most likely.
Mei: ...then I will not participate.
Calem: what!? Why?
Mei: I do not like to fight humans. Its my job to protect them, not kill them.
Calem: ......Then...if you can just take down my father's elite warriors, then you won't have to fight the rest. All you have to do is get my father to surrender.
Mei: ...as long as humans are in danger I will help, but to make a board game out of humans is barbaric.
Calem: ....please.
Mei: ....
Calem: ...I'm begging you....if I don't win. Something bad is going to happen to the kingdom.
Mei: ....

I stood up and walked out of the room.
