Mei: Noblesse's Maiden (noblesse Fanfic)

chapter 12

This looked like the same monster I've seen the first time I came to Lukedonia....only a lot bigger.
It swung a ferocious punch down at me but I immediately stopped it with the palm of my hands.

Mei:  Ashleen, don't come out of that tree.

I repositioned my hands and was able to flip the monster into it's back, smashing it into the ground.

Mei: guess we'll have more to eat than expected...
Ashleen: Mei, there's another one!

Another?
Before I could even turn my head I was sent flying and smashed through at least four trees.

Mei:  augh! That hurt....a lot...

I then heard Ashleen scream. I looked up and one of the monsters reached up into the tree and grabbed her.

Mei: STOP!!

Suddenly both the monsters froze in their place.
Why did they stop?
Then, out of nowhere, an angry muzaka appeared, and cut both monsters down at the same time. I quickly got up and caught ashleen out of the monster's hand before it hit ground.

Mei: are you okay, Ashleen?
Ashleen: yes. Thank you....thank you too dad!

I placed Ashleen down on the ground and she ran to muzaka.

Mei: hmm....I didn't know there would be more of those things...

Mei: okay. Are you both all set to leave?
Ashleen: yes!

I pat the top of Ashleen's little head. This whole time I keep getting this strong shock from her.
This feeling is not a good sign.

Mei: hope you have fun on the rest of your travel.

I stood up straight and looked at Muzaka seriously.

Mei:  Muzaka?
Muzaka: ....?
Mei: keep Ashleen in your sight at all cost.
Muzaka: what does that mean?
Mei: just a feeling....I have to go now. Be safe you two.

I turned on my heels and walked in the opposite direction.

Ashleen: bye Mei, hope we meet again!
Mei: ....

I didn't stop to turn and look at her. I couldn't face her anymore.

Mei: ...that poor child.
