Chapter  1

I live in Australia since I’m 13. I moved here with my mom when my parents divorced. We moved 2 streets away from my aunt. I just turned 17 and it is the last week of school. I’m looking forward to the summer. I will have all the time in the world to do… nothing. I just love to stay in my room, looking at Twitter, listening to music, singing along with my guitar and sometimes Alexa comes over and we sing together. We put online some of covers. It’s going to be a great summer.

“ASHLEEEY! Come down here, aunt Lea has something to tell you.” My mom yells from downstairs.

I yawned, managed to fully open my eyes.

“I’m coming, give me 20 minutes!” I said, with my morning voice.

How dare she? Wake me up at 9 on a Sunday morning. I stood up and went in the shower. Afterwards, I went to my wardrobe and I picked a pair of denim shorts and a blue tank top.  I looked in the mirror, brushed my blond wavy hairs and went downstairs. I greeted my aunt with a smile and I sat at the table. My mom seemed way too much happy.

“Okay listen Ashley, there’s no way you’ll spend your summer locked in your room, on your computer, like you did last summer.” My mom started.

“But mom, I didn’t-” I started, but my aunt didn’t let me finish.

“So that’s why I suggested to your mom to take you with me this summer.” My aunt finished.

There is no way I’m going with her. I’m aware that many girls would kill to be in my situation but I’m not into all this boyband kind of shit. I don’t want to spend all my summer traveling around the world. Indeed, my aunt couldn’t do a normal job. She worked with the biggest boyband at the moment, One Direction, as one of their manager.

“I don’t understand what is the point of all this. What the hell will I do there?” I asked, annoyed.

“The point is that you’re not going to spend the summer doing nothing. Plus, you will help your aunt.” My mom said, strictly.

“Maybe they’re older than you but I’m sure you’ll get along well with the band that is opening for them, 5 Seconds of Summer.” My aunt said as she winked at me.

“Wonderful.” I answered, sarcastically.

I had breakfast and I went upstairs. I had to start packing a little bit because we were leaving Australia the next Friday as soon as I finished school. I texted my best friend Alexa to come over as I opened my laptop to see who those 5 Seconds Of Summer boys were. Alexa came into my room as I was listening to one of their cover, I miss you by blink 182.

“Oh shit. Who are they? It’s the best cover of this song I heard so far!” She said, impressed.

“5 Seconds of Summer. Yeah they are not bad, actually pretty good.” I said, also impressed.

Now, I had to explain to Alexa that I’ll leave her alone for the whole summer. She sure will be alright, she’ll understand.

“WHAT? Why are you doing this to me! I won’t survive all summer long without you!” she complained.

“Trust me, if I had the choice…” I said, desperate.

She helped me packed a little while we were listening to 5 Seconds of Summer. What? I wanted to know who they were, and they are really talented okay. She took a picture of me packing my stuff and put it on twitter. 'My little @Ashley182 packing for a long summer with a bunch of hot guys' I laughed when I saw it, replying by: @AlexaATL If only I could take you with me! She left around 6pm, telling me that we’ll meet at school tomorrow.
