An irritated sigh escapes my lips, as Brandon begins to take over wedding planning. I haven't been able to do a single thing. Brandon lets Evan help, but when I try to add my input, he tells me that he's got it covered. I wish Jacob was here, but he's at school and doesn't get back for another hour and a half. I flinch at the slap of rain against the windows and the crash of thunder. I hate thunderstorms. To take my mind off it, I think of how Beck, Zack, and Jeff are coming over after school and maybe they can help me take back control of organizing my wedding. I hear Sage crying through the baby monitor so I stand up and go upstairs, ignoring them as they try to ask me what's wrong. I pick Sage out of her crib and cradle her. I begin to sing to her, that being to only way to calm her down during a storm.

"🎶Rain is falling on the window sill
Clouds are covering the night
I will hold you till the storm is over
Till you wake into the light

Regen fällt auf der Fensterbank Wolken bedecken die Nacht Ich werde dich halten, bis der Sturm vorbei, bis Sie in das Licht wecken

Rain is no longer falling, my dear
Clouds are nowhere in sight
I'll still hold you till you're feeling better
You're safe no matter what

Regen wird nicht mehr fallen , lieber Wolken sind nicht in Sicht werde ich halten Sie noch , bis du besser fühlst Du bist sicher , egal was🎶"

I feel arms gently wrap around my waist. "That was beautiful. I didn't know you spoke German, Chris." I relax into the familiar embrace. "I've been teaching myself, since I'm not allowed to help plan my own wedding. What are you doing back so early?" He chuckles. "Don't change the subject. What do you mean by you're 'not allowed to plan your own wedding'? I thought Brandon was helping you." I rock Sage back and forth as she falls asleep. "If by 'helping' you mean, telling me how the wedding is going to be and asking for no input on my part, then yeah. He's helping." Jacob chuckles and presses a kiss to my shoulder. "I'm sure he just wants it to be perfect, but I understand how that could be frustrating. Let's not talk about it for now. The guys are downstairs, they're all excited to see Sage." I nod and let him lead me down stairs. Beck is the first one to run over to me. "Chris! Is that her?! She's so--!" Zack clamps a hand over his mouth. "Babe, she's sleeping. Calm down." Beck nods and Zack removes his hand. "She's so cute, Chris. I can't believe that you made her! I didn't think it was possible to get any cuter, but there she is! Can I have her??" I laugh when Jacob takes Sage and cradles her to his chest, possessively. "Mine." Beck frowns. "Can I have Chris, then?" I nod. We both laugh when Jacob snatches me and Zack pulls Beck into his arms. They both growl at each other. "Mine." I turn my head and give him a kiss on the nose, causing him to blush. Beck leans back in Zack's arms, nuzzling into him, causing Zack to blush as well. Jeff rolls his eyes and pretends to gag. Brandon walks into the living room, covered in pancake batter. "What's going on?" Jeff turns and I notice a small blush rise to his face. A devious smile grows on all of our faces. It's so cute! Brandon is about six years older than Jeff. Jeff is the baby of our friends. He's barely turning 18. I'm 19, Jacob is 20 almost 21, Zack is 22, Beck is 20, and Brandon is 24. "Oh, you guys never met Brandon, have you?" Jeff shakes his head, eyes locked onto Brandon. I hold back my laugh. "This is my older brother, Brandon. He's 24." Jeff snaps out of his trace and looks down at his feet. Awww. He looks so sad! "This is Beck, my best friend; Zack, Jacob's best friend and Beck's boyfriend; and Jeff, our precious asexual cinnamon roll!" Jeff glares at me. Brandon laughs, causing Jeff's face to redden. "Well, I was making pancakes, anyone want any?" Me and Beck cheer. Jacob raises an eyebrow at us. "It's the afternoon..." "PANCAKES!!" He sighs. Him and Zack smile at us. "Dorks."

"C'mon Sage, eat the pancake." She giggles and grabs Jacob's finger. He sighs. "Why are you so cute? You make it really difficult to be upset with you." Sage opens her mouth, as if to take in the food he's offering her. "Daa~!" We all freeze. I hold onto her little hand. "Sage? What did you just say, sweetie?" "Daa! Daa!" Everyone grins. I jump up and down excitedly. "She said Dada!! Jacob! She said Dada!" Jacob hugs me tightly. "I know, Chris. That's awesome. Now, we need to teach her how to say papa." I pick up Sage, but she gets stink face and starts crying. "Daa!! Daa!!" My eyebrows scrunch up. I hand her to Jacob and she giggles happily. My heart sinks. I am not going to get jealous of my baby, or my boyfriend. Scratch that. Fiance. "I...I'm going to go upstairs and look for flower arrangements. Bye." Jacob calls after me. "I'm fine. You stay here and finish your breakfast." I walk upstairs and sit on our bed, opening my laptop. Jeff enters after a while. "Hey, Chris. Jacob's really worrying about you. He's pacing the floor and it's upsetting not only Sage, but everyone else as well." I sigh. "I'm fine, really. I'm just upset about Sage no longer liking me. Is that a bad thing?" Jeff sits next to me. "Nah. You're just use to her depending on you, it's alright that you feel this way." I smile. "Speaking of feelings, I saw the way you were looking at Brandon." He freezes as his face bursts into a deep red color. "What?! That's ridiculous! I'm asexual, Chris!" I give him a look and he sighs. "Alright, alright. I may have some slightly hugely miniscule feelings for him. B-but you can't tell him! He's so much older than me, and he could get arrested and it'd be my fault! That's considering if he actually likes me back!" He pauses and takes a minute to catch his breath. I set my hand on his knee. "I believe in you, man! Brandon is an awesome guy, and I'm not just saying that because I'm his brother! Just show him you're interested, cause if you don't he won't get it. He's a bit slow on things like this. You have to make it obvious. Give him huge, and I mean HUGE, hints. Flirt like your life depends on it." He snorts before laughing. "Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Now, let's go back down stairs." I sigh. "Okay, but I need you to distract Brandon for me. I'm trying to plan my wedding, but he keeps taking over." Jeff's face tints pink. "I'll try." He helps me up. I grab my laptop and we make our way down stairs. Jacob runs up to me. "Are you okay? Are you mad at me?" I smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. Sorry. I love you, Jakey." He blushes a bit. "I love you too, babe."
