After Sandy brought cake for everyone, I told her what happened. I left out the small details. I took the blame for it, seeing as how I let him do it. Beck seemed pissed. Evan not far off. Sandy frowns, disapprovingly. "I'll go talk to him, honey. Beck, Evan, stay with Chris. Try to make him feel better." She leaves before I could tell her it wasn't his fault. Evan crosses his arms and pouts. "I can't believe big bro would do that! He knows I called dibs!" I feel my heart quiver. "I'm sorry Evan. I'm...I--" I choke on the tears that returned. I feel Beck put his hands on my shoulders. Evan speaks again. "Chris..? Is...is big bro the one you...have feelings for?" I hesitate, before nodding through my sobs. "Do you...do you still like him, Chris?" I look away from them, and nod. I feel Beck tense up, an angry aura surrounding him. "So, that bastard took your first kiss, led you on, and even had the nerve to say he was using you as a test subject, and you still like him?!" I flinch and nod. Evan scowls (as close to a scowl as a seven year old could get) and stands up. "I'm going to go have a talk with big brother." I try to stop him, but no words will leave my mouth. I hug my pillow to my chest. I'm such a nuisance. Beck turns and glares at me. "No, you're not, Chrissy!" I blink in confusion. Did I say that outloud? "You are not a nuisance! Its not your fault that Jacob's a jerk! I'll kill him if he ever touches you again!" I tear up again, but I have enough will power to keep the tears at bay. "Thank you, Beckie. That means a lot to me." Beck leans down and presses his lips to my forehead. "Anything for my big bro." I some times think that Beck likes me, but he's my little bro. I wouldn't know how to react to it if he did. Plus, I'm pretty sure he's straight. An hour passes by and Beck is pacing the room. I can almost see steam coming from his ears. There's a knock on the door. Beck growls slightly at it. "Who is it?" I called out. "It's me and Gramma and Jacob." I tense up at the name. "T-tell him to go away. I don't want to see him!" Beck is taking deep breaths trying not to go outside and punch Jacob. "Then close your eyes, because I'm coming in!" I look over at Beck, fear evident in my eyes and posture. "Please! Just go away!" "Chris dear, you two have to talk about this. You can't hide forever, hun." I hear Sandy say. I sigh. "I know...I know. Just...just not today. Please. I'll talk to him tomorrow, but I don't think I could right now. I'm emotionally unstable and I don't want to do or say something I'll regret." I hear Sandy sigh. "I understand. I'm making dinner, I'll have Evan bring it up to you when it's done." "Okay. Thank you." I hear Sandy and someone else leave, but I know someone is still there. "Chris..?" Oh god, it's Jacob. "I...I'm sorry, Chris." Before I could answer, Beck beats me to it. "Get lost, you jerk! How dare you take advantage of Chris?!" I hear a low rumbling growl. "I know I messed up, but I just want to apologize!" Beck growls right back. "We don't need your apologies! We need you to go away!" "I'm not asking for your forgiveness! I'm asking for Chris's!" "Chris doesn't want your apologies either! Go away!" I hate when he does this. He always speaks for me, even if that's not what I want to say. "That's enough, Beck." He turns and looks at me, nervousness and fear in his eyes. "Jacob, for the time being I do not wish to see or speak to you. I'll decide whether or not I'll forgive you tomorrow," I shoot a glare at Beck. "On my own." Beck flinches, but nods in understanding. I can hear Jacob sigh. "Alright...alright, I'll talk to you tomorrow, then." I smile slightly, before I force it into a frown. "Tomorrow, then." I hear him sigh again, then the faintest whisper of, "Tomorrow..." before he walks away. I look up at Beck, noticing he's avoiding my gaze. "...Beck...you know what I'm going to say. Don't you?" He nods slowly. "Say it." He stiffens, but stays quiet. "Say it, Beck." He speaks up, shakily. "D-don't talk f-for you, you h-have a voice th-that isn't broken. Don't let m-my feelings speak for yours. I'm s-sorry, Chris." I nod. "It's alright, Beck. Just try not to do it again." He nods and lays down next to me, snuggling into my side. Noticing I'm not really hungry, I decide to go to sleep.

I wake up a few hours later to the sound of my door opening. I assume it's Beck, but I still feel him next to me. It must be Evan or Sandy coming to check up on me. With this in mind, I'm startled when I hear Jacob's hushed voice. "Damn it, Chris. Why didn't you tell me? Do you really have feelings for me? I...I think I have some for you, but I'm so new at this, and I have no idea what I'm doing. I didn't mean to say what I did after I kissed you. Honest. I just panicked. I don't know why I'm saying all this. You're asleep. I just know I'm not going to be able to say any of this with you awake. I just want you to forgive me. We were finally getting along, then I just had to screw it up." I feel the bed shift, then warm, slightly chapped, lips are placed on my forehead. "I'm sorry, Chris." The bed shifts again as he leaves. The door opens, but before he leaves, I open my eyes as tears slip down my cheeks, and call out to him. "Th-thank you, Jacob." I see his silhouette flinch as he turns to face me. "Y-you're awake? How m-much did you hear?" I smile, teasingly. "How much did you want me to hear?" He laughs, awkwardly. "Umm, none of it really, but all of it at the same time..." I motion for him to come closer. He does so, kneeling on the floor by my bed. "I heard every thing, Jacob. I'm touched you went through the trouble of staying up to tell me this. I'm also disappointed, because if I was still asleep I wouldn't have been able to hear it, you jerk!" Jacob smiles. "Yeah, I'm sorry about that. I'm also sorry about taking your first kiss like that." I look away, my face heats up slightly. "It-it's alright...I mean, it's not like I...d-didn't enjoy it." Jacob places his hand ontop of mine, his other rubbing his neck, nervously. "So...umm...do you think...uh...that we could...shit..." I laugh quietly at his nervousness. "Would you like to try going out with me?" I offer. His face goes twelve shades of pink. "Uh...yeah." I pull him closer and kiss his cheek. "I'd be delighted to try." His blush deepens as he stands up. "Oh, um...great! I'll uh...I'll get going and uh...I'll let you sleep. G-goodnight...b-babe..?" I smile and wave at him. "Goodnight, Jacob." He bends down and places a sweet kiss on my forehead before leaving the room. I hear Beck grumble. "I'm not happy about this, just so you know." I sigh. "I know, but I am. Please, don't give him that much of a hard time, and no fighting." Beck sighs. "Fine, now go back to sleep. You need to explain your sudden 'buddy-buddy'-ness with Jacob to Evan and Sandy in the morning." I nod and we drift back off to sleep.
