I sigh, watching as Jeff tries to ignore Brandon. Jeff finally had the balls to confess and Brandon didn't respond. This has been going on for a week now. Getting frustrated, I grab Jeff's wrist and Brandon's collar. I don't need this stress right now. I'll be in a stressed induced coma for my wedding if they don't fix this. I drag them to Brandon's room and shove them inside. I barricade the door. "You two aren't coming out until you've sorted this out!!" Evan runs into the hallway. "Chris, I'm going to a friend's house, okay? Sage is asleep and changed and everything!" I smile and nod. He runs out the door. I love that kid. Never questioning what I'm doing. I can hear Jeff calling my name, but I walk away. Jacob wraps his arms around my waist. "You trying to fix Jeff and Brandon?" I nod. "They were stressing me out." He nods and stays silent for a while. Suddenly, we hear a shout from upstairs. "B-BRANDON!! FUCK~! H-HARDER!!" "T-try to keep your--ah! Voice down, Jeff!" "AAAHHH!!" Me and Jacob exchange glances before laughing. "Well, at least we know who tops!" "And who's a screamer!" I add, humorously.
After that awkwardness, we all sat down in the living room and discussed our upcoming wedding. Brandon has an arm around Jeff's waist with a smile, and Jeff is blushing heavily with a annoyed pout on his face. Jacob has Sage in his arms. "Watch this!" He sets her down. "C'mon Sage! Come to daddy!" She crawls over to him, giggling. I smile sadly. Jacob seems to notice. "Wait, Chris. I taught her something else too." I raise an eyebrow. He grins and sets her back down. "Sage, go to papa." To my surprise, she crawls over to me. "Aa! Aa!" I grin and scoop her into my arms. "Close enough!" I look up to Jacob, tears brimming my eyes. "Thank you so much. How did you manage this?! Y'know what? I don't even care right now! I'm so happy!" Jacob kisses my temple. "I used a picture of you and set it on the ground in front of her. It took a while, but I finally got her to recognize who you are and how to get close to saying papa." Jeff takes her from me. He stands her up. "Go to daddy and papa." She wobbles, but takes a step towards us. She takes another step, but falls over and crawls the rest of the way. I pick her up and press a series of kisses on her cheeks. "You took your first steps! I can't believe this! Jacob, did you see that?!" He nods, a huge grin on his face. Sage giggles and squirms in my arms. She takes my face into her chubby hands and presses her face to my cheek. My smile widens as I realize that was supposed to be a kiss. Jacob turns away, probably trying to hide the obvious blush on his face. "That was so cute!" Sandy walks into the living room. She seems off. "What's wrong, Gramma?" Sandy smiles sadly. "I got my results from the doctor today." Everyone is quiet immediately. She grins. "I'm perfectly healthy and I might even still be alive when Sage grows up. I was worried that I would have cancer, since it runs in the family, but the doctor says I'm fine. He did find a tumor, but he can remove it before it gets worse." Jacob stands up and hugs her. "I'm so glad to hear that!" Sandy hugs him back. "I am too." She leaves after that, going to the park with a friend. I scoot up so Jacob can sit behind me. I lean back into his chest and smile when he rests his head on my shoulder. I notice Brandon glance at Jeff, longingly. Jeff rolls his eyes and tries to move away from Brandon, only to be pulled back and set in his lap. Jeff protests but makes no move to get up. Brandon has a victorious smile as Jeff 'gives in'. I see Jacob smirk mischievously. "So...you like it hard, huh Jeff?" Jeff's face immediately turns red as he starts sputtering incoherent sentences, while Brandon just grins. I slap Jacob's arm, but laugh anyways. It was really funny to see Jeff flustered.
It's late and we didn't want our friends to go home, so they're staying the night here. Jeff reluctantly went into Brandon's room, still slightly mad at him. Jacob put Sage to sleep and climbed into our bed. He gives me a kiss on my forehead. I turn and wrap my arms around his waist. "Hey, Jakey? Are you nervous about our wedding?" He pulls me closer to him and wraps his arms around me. "Of course I am. There's always a chance that someone will object and try to steal you from me, since you're so damn cute!" He nuzzles my cheek, making me laugh. He gives me a long, slow kiss. If I wasn't laying down, I'm sure my knees would've given out. He pulls back and smiles at me. I pout at him. "Why would anyone object for me? Everyone will object for you! You're so sexy and amazing and all that beautifulness. I'm so glad that you returned my feelings." I kiss his nose and he blushes, just the way I like it. "I love you, Jakey." "I love you too, my beautiful, amazingly wonderful, cutie." We smile at each other and share one last kiss before closing our eyes to sleep. Right before I slip into slumber, Sage starts crying. I shift to get up, but Jacob pushes me back down. "I got it, baby. Go to sleep." I smile at him as he kisses my forehead. I drift into and put of consciousness, so I don't know how long Jacob is gone, I just realize that he's back. We snuggle together and I fall asleep instantly.
