At dinner that night, Leo explained some more about the camp and how the mist works. I was awed at how complex and surreal it all was. I,one of the 7 billion people in the world am one of hundreds that are demigods...I still can't seem to process it all. I still want to know who my godly parent is! Leo said it was most likely a god not a goddess because I lived with my mom not my dad.

Chiron blew the conch and we all gathered around as we watched Leo light the campfire with his 'built in blowtorch'. The children from the Apollo cabin were leading all the campfire songs whilst some campers were roasting marshmallows and sharing camp gossip. I sat with Leo, seeing as he was my only friend. Everyone looked like they were having a fantastic time around the campfire. On the other hand, another girl who came today named Meadow were on the edge of our seats. We were nervous because today was most likely the day that we get claimed by our godly parents. I sat there cracking my knuckles, scared as heck. What if I end up in the Hermes cabin...I will never get a good night sleep! Or the ares cabin....ill get pulverized in there! I may not look all that tough, but if you are pissing me off I won't hesitate to give you a knuckle sandwich....

It was nearing the end of the campfire and neither one of us have been claimed yet! I don't know the process of all this, but to me it seems long overdue!

I hear a gasp and every ones head turns towards me. No, they turn their heads to look beside me. They were all looking at meadow, a golden lyre was floating over her head. She had been claimed by the god Apollo. The Apollo cabin cheered and immediately welcomed her into their group. Now all who was left was me.

A while later, when a few campers had already gone to bed. Another gasp arose from the group. This time everyone looked at me and stared dead silent. I looked up slowly, afraid of what I might see. All I could see was black before I shut my eyes, it can't be. I opened my slowly to see a black skull floating above my head. It seemed to be radiating death and darkness. I looked at my feet. I was alone....I had no siblings and no warm welcome. I looked at Leo who was giving me the widest smile.

" what are you smiling about? You just found out your friend was the daughter of the god of the dead! Don't you want to run away or something?" I questioned, why wasn't he just brushing me off and leaving me alone?

"One of my best friends is the daughter of Hades.... She isn't here at the moment but I know she would be ecstatic to find out she has another sibling!" He said his already wide smile growing wider with every word he spoke.

"R-really?! You mean I have siblings!" I said with a ray of hope in my voice. The rest of the camp was still silent.

After the campfire was over and most people have gotten over the shock of the fact that I am the daughter of Hades. Leo showed me to my cabin and I thanked him for everything he's done for me today. I closed my door and saw that 2 bunks looked like someone had already claimed them. I walk farther into the room and find a bed in the corner by a window that looks out over the camp, if I lay down I can see the stars perfectly. I watched the stars and drifted off to sleep.

Sorry for not posting in a while! I was experiencing an extreme case of writers block! And school has me pretty busy too. I did not use much dialogue....oh well! Hope you guys enjoyed this part! See ya next time! BYE !!! ~ Brooke
