The meeting (VIII)

We all gathered in the rec. room for the meeting. As it turns out Leo is the head counsellor from the Hephaestus cabin, seeing as he killed Gaea and all he's pretty qualified. Rachel, Leo, and I stood at the front of the room and told everyone why we were having this emergency meeting. I recounted my visit with Rachel and told them of the prophecy:

A half blood of each the eldest gods

Shall find their way to a land with no odds

To seek for the treasure lost

And soar high to the world of the gods

They all sat there shocked. Connor Stoll from Hermes was the one to break the stunned silence;

"I thought we were done with prophecy's..." He said, his words hollow. Nodding, from everyone else in the room, followed that statement.

"You know, normally after a prophecy is delivered we issue a quest," Chiron states, once he heard we were holding an emergency meeting he came as quick as he could even though he had a cold. "but I've heard nothing bad coming from Olympus. Nothing that needs solving, nothing we need solving. Then again this prophecy does sound like its been issued for a quest..." Chiron pondered a bit longer then decided "let's try to decipher the prophecy first, shall we?"

"Well the first line, a half blood of each the eldest gods. Which are Poseidon, Hades, and Zeus." Piper, from the Aphrodite cabin piped up "those are probably the demigods we're suppose to send on this quest."

"Good thinking pipes," Leo commented. "I think we should send Layla for Hades, Percy for Poseidon, and Jason for Zeus."

"Whoa, first off, why her? She's been here what like 2 days and we're already sending her on a quest?" Clarisse from Ares argued "And secondly, why Jason he's in New Rome right now! How are we suppose to bring him on a quest if he's not even here to agree to it!"

"I, for one, am okay with going." Percy said raising his hand. Everyone looked at him and rolled their eyes, I know he's gone on quests before but how many?

"Clarisse, Layla has to go. Hazel is in New Rome and do you really think Nico is gonna want to go on a quest?" Leo butts in "and we need Jason, do you really want Thalia to go on a quest with Percy? Do you remember last time?"

I know Leo wasn't here for most of the time Percy was but he talks like he was there, like he saw everything unfold in front of him.

Clarisse nods "ya your right, Thalia would beat him to a pulp and then we wouldn't be able to fulfil the quest."

"Hey!" Percy yells looking offended.

"Children settle down..." Chiron says in a calm tone " now the next line, shall find there way to a land with no odds"

"Maybe they will get there really easily?" Will suggests

"I doubt that." Clarisse grumbles

"Then what could it be....a land with no odds..." Chiron thinks

"Maybe it's one of those lines that don't mean what they say." Piper guesses

"Right, the next line is pretty self explanatory, to seek for the treasure lost." Leo states "Obviously they are going to be looking for some lost treasure"

"Ob~viously..." I say as I try to hold back a laugh. Leo catches on and burst out laughing.

"Snapes caught your tongue?" He asks, raising an eye brow. I can't take any more and my laughs escape me, they come out so fast that I can no longer stop them. Every one stares at Leo and I while we have our laughing fit. I couldn't care less, I've been stared at my whole life, it's nothing new. I hear some whispers going around and catch a few words. .....Leo.......fans........what?.......Harry potter..... Once Leo and I settle enough to pay attention and not burst into sudden laughter every 2 minutes we continue.

"The next one is fairly self explanatory as well, and soar high to the world of the gods. We're gonna fly to Olympus." Percy says, though he doesn't seem very enthusiastic about flying, I wonder why....

"Ok that settles it, I'm going to send an iris message to Jason and see if he can come over for the quest. As for you two " Chiron points to me and Percy "we need you to be ready at all times, ready to leave at a moments notice. You got that." Chiron looks me in the eyes and I can tell he's deadly serious. I nod, as does Percy "ok you're all dismissed"

As we file out I feel someone grab my elbow, I whip around to see Leo with one hand over his eye.

"Wow, that hair of yours is long, it hit me right in the eye!" He smiles. I smile back and push open the doors.

The night air hits me almost instantaneously, it was chilly I started to get goose bumps. I looked up at the night sky and it was crystal clear, not a cloud in sight. The brilliant stars making amazing constellations were as clear as day and the crescent moon was crisp and white. If I had to describe it in one word it would be; beautiful. Leo comes beside me and looks at the stars too.

"You see that constellation?" He points to a constellation that looks like a hunter.

"Ya, why?" I ask puzzled

"She used to be a friend of Percy's"

"Wait so your telling me that was a person? How?" I asked even more confused than before.
"Long story..." We proceeded to walk towards the cabins as Leo told me the story of Zoë Nightshade and how she became a constellation. He finished just as we arrived at my cabin door.

"Thanks for showing me around today, I appreciate it!" I hug him, he's warm and immediately my goose bumps go away. He hugs me back and we just stay like that for a while. I feel like I could stay in his arms forever, soaking up his warmth. He pulls away and says;

"I better go before the harpies find me!" He waves and runs off towards the Hephaestus cabin.

( hope you guys enjoyed! As you can probably telly by now I like to put fandom references into my writing! I know what your thinking.... Ob~viously.....if you don't get that it's how snape says obviously in Harry Potter! There is evidence that Leo is a fanboy so I am sticking with that. Sorry I haven't posted in a while! I get writers block easily! I don't re-read my story after I've written it so if there are any minor spelling mistakes or punctuation errors I didn't see them! Though I hate it when other people misspell the same word multiple times! I digress, hope you enjoyed and see you all next time! )
