The meeting (XIII)

The next day during campfire, instead of going with everyone else around the magical bonfire, I  headed to Thalia's  Pine. I had no idea what Leo wanted or why he couldn't tell me yesterday, or at lunch, or at sparring practice. As th tree came into view, I saw a figure slumped against the base of the tree. It looked up when it heard me coming, and in the moonlight I could see that the figure was Leo. He got up and started walking towards me. I raised my hand in greeting.

"Finally, I though you'd never show up!" Leo said sarcastically, I stifled a laugh.

"Why did you want me here? I'm missing s'mores!"I said trying to act angry, but to no avail. 

"Well, I wanted to tell you something..." He trailed off.

"Spit it out!" I said anxiously.

"Ikeyou" he mumbled.

"What?"

"I said," he took a deep breath. "I LIKE YOU!" And with that he took off towards the campfire with his arms flailing in the air.

I just stood there dumbfounded. Did he just say what I think he said? Does Leo Valdez like me? Why would Leo Valdez like me? 

The sound of the cleaning harpies shook me out of my thoughts. I ran for dear life back towards the campfire which had already died down. 

Just before I reached my cabin I saw a figure walking out of the shadows. I stopped and looked at it as it emerged. A black haired, pale skinned, Italian boy walking out of the shadows. He looked startled to see me but then became more relaxed.

"What might you be doing at my beloved Hades cabin?" He inquired 

"I...uh...I live here....?" It came out more like a question than I'd hoped.

"You what?!" He said clearly flabbergasted.

"I live here." I said with a more confident air. "Hades is my father."

He looked at me wide eyed. "NO ONE TOLD ME I HAD ANOTHER SISTER!" 

"No one told Hazel either. She found out when she came to camp a few days ago."

"Wait! Hazel is here?!" 

"Umm....yea...." I slightly furrowed my eyebrows." You must be Nico, right? I heard you were visiting dad for the summer, why are you back so soon?" 

"I came to surprise Will..." He looked at his feet. " and plus, dad is not in a very good mood. He lost his helm." 

That's what Hades lost, I thought good now we know 1/12 of what we are looking for. 

"Can I see Hazel!" He said almost like a little kid.

"Ya, come on!" I said as I opened the door to the Hades cabin.

(Well that was short... Like 427 words or something... And late. Well I don't have a schedule, I just update when I feel like it so...ya. My friends and I are writing a big collective story on google docs. It's going good and it is a six author collab so that so always an achevement. I have a project for social studies due tomorrow and I'm still not done! Oh well! I'll finish after this weird type of A/N! I am doing the project on Archimedes, an Ancient Greek mathmatitien is that how you spell it in English?  I'm in French immersion so it's a little bit hard to translate words that I have no idea how to spell into English. Well I digress, I hope you like this really short part!  See you all later!)
