Arms wrapped around my waist, and my back met a hard chest. "People called us the perfect royal couple...they said we were made for each other. We did love each other...there was just one problem...other people were after what we had.You....you know what... I'll just show you everything." He whispered something, and I blacked out.

*Nyla's POV (Back in time)*

We danced around the ballroom. Everyone looked at us in awe as we glided across the floor. Axel spun me around, and pulled me towards him, holding me in his arms, and looking at me lovingly. He pulled back, and began to walk away. "Axel, where are you going" I asked.

He disappear into the crowd. I stood on my toes, trying to look over people, to see if I spotted him. I heard a glass being tapped, and everyone quieted down. I looked towards the stage to see Axel standing there. He ushered for me to come on stage. Everyone began to part and I made my way up to the stage. I walked up the stairs and stood next to him. "What is this all about" I giggled. He turned to me, and held my hands.

"Nyla, I've been through alot, and during my highs and my lows...you were always there for me. When you're around you light up my life...you make me want to be a better person. Nyla, I love you" he whispered. Tears began to fill my eyes. He pulled something out of his jacket pocket, and got down on one knee...wait he can't be.. "Nyla..." he opened the black velvet box, revealing a diamond ring, "will you marry me?" he sent me a hopeful look. I stood there in shock. He face began to drop, and he began to shift uncomfortably.

"Axel.." I started.

"It's fine, if you don't wa..." I cut him off.

"Axel...I love you, and I'll always love you. Of course I want to be your wife" I whispered to him.

I don't think he heard me, because he still looked down..."Nyla it's fine and... wait" he eyes shot up to mine, "You will" he smiled widely at me.

"Yes" I smiled, wiping the stray tears away.

He stood up, and pulled me towards him, crashing my lips onto his.

A chorus of "Awwww" and "Ohh that's so cute" filled the room.

Axel smiled into the kiss and pulled back, "I love you" he whispered.

"I love you too" I stared into his eyes.

"Well isn't this cute... Axel has finally found himself someone" I heard a voice say, as they clapped. Axel looked toward him. His face instantly hardened. I followed his gaze. There stood the man... the man who killed my parents....right infront of my own eyes.

"What do you want, Hayden" he spat. Hayden stood there...the whole Silvieter coven behind him.

"You know what I want..." he smirked and his eyes landed on me.

Axel shook his head, "No...at least if we're going to have a conversation...let's not have it right here" he said through clenched teeth.

Hayden smirked, "Okay...I'll let you enjoy your night. Oh and bye the way...congratulations" he flashed us a heart warming smile and left.

The rest of the night was fun, there were no problems, well...until we had a few drinks, then we had to leave because people were fighting and Axel wanted me to be safe.

He opened the door, and the cool night air instantly whipped my face. We wobbled towards the car, laughing. I slung my arm over Axel's neck and pulled him closer.
