Akito's necklace.

I wake up, excited for today. But i have this little pit of fear in my stomach. I get dressed and brush my teeth as fast as i can. I go wake up Kyo, still with my toothbrush in my mouth. "Kake Kup!" He rolls over. "What? Sorry, i don't speak toothbrush." He messes my hair up and goes to the kitchen. "Where's Tohru? There's no food." I finish brushing my teeth at the kitchen sink. "She's still asleep. So is Yuki and the pervy dog." He just walks over to me. "Why did you wake me up?"

"Today is the day we try to break the curse!"

"Oh yeah! We're gonna do this!"

"Yeah we are!"

He kisses me out of excitement. That's a first. After i go to the fridge. "What do you want to eat?"

"I don't know. Anything with no leeks."

"Got it!"

"Okay, i hope you do."

I giggle and start on the rice i'm making. I give Kyo his bowl and we eat.

"It's so quiet without everyone awake. I'm sorta glad, i don't need you to get in a fight with Yuki right now. That would suck!"

I put my bowl in the sink. Kyo says that we need to wake the pervy dog before we go. Since he's an "adult". He's really the opposite of an adult.....who cares. Just because of age he is XD Kyo drives while the pervy dog stays in a half sleep state of peace. I laugh at him drooling. "We're here." I look at Kyo's face. So many things in his eyes right now. Fear, hate, anger, blood lust, sadness. I get out and pull the pervy dog's arm. We finally get him up and walking around. I smile at Kyo, he smiles back. We think almost the same thing. We both look at each other with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. As to say "We are actually going to do this. We are here! This is so scary." I walk with my hand in his as the pervy dog gets Hatori and Ayame, if Akito freaks out again Hatori has another shot. I feel safer knowing that. I walk up to the door. We both get a grip on each side. "1........2.......3- maybe we should have a better plan." We both say this at almost the exact same time. We sit on the ground, below the door. We exchange stupid ideas that would never work.

"What if... you go all cat on him....then i sneak around. And get a chainsaw?"

"What if Hatori is not just a seahorse...what if he really IS a dragon? Wouldn't he be able to just kill him?"

"No. But what if we make a robot that shoots lasers? Then Akito would be so distracted he wouldn't notice us!?"

"What if we train a monkey to take it? Ritsu might work? Naw, it would have to be a circus monkey."

"...What if Hatori just injects Akito with the sleeping med before we go in?"

".....no, that's silly."

We laugh at how stupid we both are. I think the last plan was actually a good one. We'll just sneak around Akito as he sleeps from Hatori injecting him. We both agree on this and start the plan up. I get the pervy dog and tell him about the plan. He just stops for a moment.

"No one bothered to hear my plan!"

"Well what was the plan?"

"Okay...i go up. And you know how i'm very handsome, right?"

I don't respond

"Anyways. I could just distract Akito with my amazing good looks! Simple! No one would be able to resist me!"

"...think again.." I mumble as i walk away.

"We're sticking with the first plan, kay?!"

I have to yell since i'm now hiding behind a bush from Akito's garden.

"Got it! My plan is best though!"

Kyo looks at me. "What was his plan?"

"I don't want to talk about it.."

"We just need to both wait for Hatori to inject Akito with the sleep stuff", according to Kyo. I nod and watch Hatori. We go in. I search the living room. "This house is huge!" I yell as i move a table. Kyo yells back to me."I know!" I search in the kitchen. Then i go to the dining room. Such wonderful furnishings....Get ahold of yourself Rose! You are looking for the necklace, not furniture! I go into Akito's bedroom. I shudder as i see his sleeping body. I look around very quietly. I give up and go to find Kyo.

"FOUND IT!" He's gotta be at the other side of the house.

"REALLY!?"

"YEAH!"

"MAYBE WE SHOULDN'T YELL WHILE AKITO IS SLEEPING!"

"OKAY! MEET YOU IN THE LIVING ROOM?!"

"YEAH!"

"SEE YUH!"

"YEP!"

I move into the living room and sit down waiting for Kyo. He comes in almost jumping from excitement. I hear a groan from Akito's room. Kyo and I exchange a glance. All we needed was that one glance. We both shoot out of the door jumping around objects to go faster. I laugh as we get out of that garden and onto the street. "I just can't believe it!" "I know!!!!" I get the box from Kyo. I hold it for a while, admiring the amazing box. I slowly open it. It's glittery inside. I open the box fully. Kyo gets sparkles in his eyes, as do I, as we admire this beautiful necklace. It has a huge diamond at the end of a silver chain. It's split into two parts, one for me, one for Kyo. I slowly and gently pick up my piece. He does the same to his. We both just hold our pieces in awe. We stand there, thinking of everything that's ever happened. I think about how happy Mom and Dad would be if they were here. I put my piece back in the box and tell Kyo to put his back to. "What why?"

"I want everyone to see this Kyo. It's a very special moment."

"I agree. Let's tell Shigure to get everyone. Yuki and Tohru should be up too."

"Okay. Lets wait for him back at the house."

We walk back to the house in silence. Not wanting to ruin the necklace's beauty. I just stop, we are almost to the house. "Why did Akito, just have this? Wouldn't he have destroyed it or something?"

"Maybe Akito just didn't love anyone other then himself, so he couldn't break the curse. Even though he probably wants to like the rest of us."

"I think it was to easy. Just think about it."

"But he hid it really well."

"Where was it?"

"I don't remember."

"Such a great hiding spot."

I roll my eyes and start walking. I open the door dramatically. Yuki and Tohru look at the box. "Is that it!?"

"Yep!" Kyo holds the box in front of Yuki's face. I grab it and show Tohru. "Isn't it pretty!?"

"It's lovely! I can't believe this is actually happening!"

"I know!"

I put the box down and happy-jump with Tohru. The door opens. A flood of people come in. All cursed from the Chinese zodiac i think. Except Akito. Akito doesn't get to come. We all agreed on this. Everyone sits down around the floor on the couch and chairs. Kyo and i sit on the floor across from each other with crossed legs. I slowly open the box. All falls silent. Everyone looks at the necklace. I give Kyo his half, then take mine. We both look at them. Slowly we put them on.....it starts glowing.....it takes a while....but..it finally glows the color-
