This is getting tiring, doing the same thing everyday just trying to not get found. I'm trying to find food, but I'm not having any luck. When I finally do, it's potato soup. At least it will taste good cold. I get back to Charity who found drinks for us, we sat down and split the potato soup. "You know, I think I should find food next time. Not saying you have a bad taste in food, just want to take turns." She said filling her mouth with the soup."why don't, you try to find breakfast tomorrow and if you can find something good, you can stay as the food finder." She looked happy to do something important"and you can't be caught" I added that and she rolled her eyes as if she already knew that, which she did. I finish eating and I  make sure no one can find us in our shack. "Okay, after you're done eating get ready for bed." I said looking out the small crack in the door. " but I want to stay up" she sat on the sleeping bag and pouted"we are waking up early to find a different place, remember?" She got inside the bag and I tucked her in like she was a little kid. We said good night and I went to bed two hours after her because I was keeping watch. Once we woke up, she was eager to go find breakfast. "Jean" she said over and over whispering louder and louder each time. I woke up and smiled at how she was already ready to go."well morning early bird" I laugh and I get up and get dressed. We have to wear oversized hoodies and jeans with boots so our markings don't show. Luckily, it's winter so we won't burn up. We head out and she seemed to find good food easily. Well that's a surprise, I mean she looked in the most generic places like on shelves and on the ground. I wonder why it's so difficult for me to find food, maybe she is better than me at that. "I think we have enough for all week!" She said excitedly. "How did you find all of this?" I sat on a broken down motorcycle pretending to turn it on. "I guess its not as hard as you thought."She started hotwiring the vehicle and she was successful. Now we have transportation."wow. Where did you learn to do that?" I was surprised she could do that.
"I saw it in a movie once, I thought I would give it a try." She smiled and got on behind me holding on tight. I handed her a helmet and I put one on and we started driving."where to?" I had no idea of where to go."as long as we stay in the town." She seemed hesitant to ever leave this rundown abandoned town.
"Okay." I started riding on the road when all of a sudden we see cops from 5 miles away. Luckily, they don't see us. "Shhh they can hear us" I turned off the bike and I pulled it and charity over to what looks like a tree house. We climb in and leave the bike on the road. "Hungry?" She said reaching out of her back and grabbing out a cereal box. "Sure and I have some goat milk!" I also grabbed a jug of 2 day expired milk that has been out of a fridge for that time."lucky we have a strong stomach" she looked at the milk scared.i laugh "yeah!" We be really quiet for the next hour so we can be sure the policemen are gone. We eat the cereal and milk and we stay at the tree house. "This is a nice place, can we stay here for a while?" She was walking around it and finding toys and two 5DS. She remembered a game she kept with her and she started playing it."until we run out of food, then we will be moving on to new shelter and new food." She seemed pleased with that response."THERE IS EVEN MATTRESSES UP HERE!!" She started jumping on one and landed on her butt. Luckily, not on the floor of the house. It's very old and if there is pressure than it could break. She landed on the mattress with a thud. "Ow." I laugh "be careful. This is a very old treehouse!" I start setting out sleeping bags on the two mattresses and I start climbing down until she gets confused "where do you think you're going?" She was not happy I was going to leave her."just to go look for some drinks." She nods and leaves me be while playing on the 5DS. Finally she leaves me alone. I hop on the bike and I go to the nearest gas station.
