(Warning unless told other wise, this book is in jean's POV)
14 years ago me and my cousin, Charity, were normal little girls. We played barbies, babies, family, you know normal child things. Since the insight on our family history , it's been different. We are only 2 years apart and I'm older, so I feel like I'm supposed to take care of her. She on the other hand, doesn't agree. She thinks she can go off by herself and not tell me. I should explain what I mean by out family tree.Let's start from the beginning, 14 years ago I was 2 and she was born.That was in the year 3000, after two years of staying young, it all changed. The day my cousin was born was literally the happiest day of my life. We have been best friends since that first time we looked at each other. What happened was I found these markings on my wrists and ankles, and I had never seen them before. My dad got scared but my mom wasn't. It was like she saw them before. Well, she did. It turned out that my great grandmother had them too. Every two generations of the women get them in my family. Since Charity is on my mother's side of the family, she will get them too. I thought it was cool until I started getting powers. One day, I was playing with Charity and I Accidentally covered my Barbie in protection bubble. What Charity thought was hilarious was that the bubble was only big enough for the barbie's head. After that, they got worse. I started covering her whenever I sensed danger. I finally got over it at age of 12 in 3010. That's when everything went downhill. My cousin now had them too so we were both being looked for. It turns out it's not just our family that is different. All people who are different are being looked for. Our parents sent us away to find a safe place. we have been on the run ever since. Now back to the time we are mainly in. 3014, was the most unique year out of the 4 that we have been running. I bet you know that considering you are reading this.
