2 Years Later...
Mia's P.O.V.
"Let's runaway from them!" Nathan whispered into my ear.
"On the count of 3. 1...2...3...RUN!" I whispered back to him.
We walked behind the wall and ran as fast as we could.
We always hang out with our other two friends, but sometimes we run from them so we can have our little, weird conversations. We have our secret spot under the stairs, that we run to. We like it because it has a radiator and keeps as warm in winter. Besides the teachers never go there so we never get caught.
"Do you think they heard us running away?" He asked.
"Nah, Katy and Elly were too busy talking about they're writer's trip".
"Good, hehe. Hey! What shall we talk about?" He said slowly turning his head towards me and smiling.
"Hmmm. Well, what about that youtube channel we're planning to do!?".
We talked and talked until the bell rang. Ugh, I hate when that happens.
"What's our next lesson?" I asked.
"Ummm, English" he replied.
"Thanks" I said rushing off to my english class.
I suddenly felt a grip on my elbow and I was forcefully spun back. I wasn't really surprised to see Nathan's face. But I still felt something run down my spine when I saw him.
He leant closer towards my faces. We were both silent. I could feel he's breathing on my face. He was breathing steadily, slow. His breath warm on my cheek. He leaned in closer, and whispered to my ear, very slowly.
"Have a nice lesson..."
At that moment, it seemed like my heart stopped beating. My knees went weak.
But I never showed it. I never do. He doesn't need to know I like him. He doesn't need to know I fell in love with my best friend.
We both burst out into silly laughing. People passing by were just turning their heads towards us, probably thinking "what's wrong with them".
But we didn't care.
"Wish you a good lessons as well, dude" I said, when we finally stopped, letting a little giggle out.
We both went our separate ways. But I couldn't stop thinking about that little moment, how close we were...
