Chapter ~ 6

I Love You...

Mia's P.O.V.

Nathan has been avoiding me for 3 days now, and I still have no idea what has got to him?
I feel physical pain in my heart every time I see him; he just looks at me and turn the other way as if I'm not even there.
I tried saying hi to him, but he would immediately start talking to Katy, like he never heard me. In fact, he spends all of his time with Katy now.
I'm always left with Elly. She's a great friend but I miss mine and Nathan weird talks and most of all I miss him...

Finally it's lunch time. I follow Elly to discussion room. We sit down and talk about whether ISIS is planning an attack in London or not. We also discuss the possibility of a WW3.
Our discussion gets interrupted when someone opens the door. It's Katy and Nathan. They're together again. I feel sudden sadness take over me. I watch them, as they sit opposite of me.
They have huge smiles on their faces, and I hear giggle now and then. I feel jealousy taking over me. We always used to have funny conversations and now he just ignores me, as if I never meant anything to him. I guess I didn't...

I can't take this any more, I feel tears forming in my eyes. I wipe them of with my sleeve before they are more visible.
I stand up and walk right towards Nathan who is clearly enjoying their talk.
"Hey... Can you please come to our favourite place, I need to tell you something..." I say without being able to hold back the tears.
But Nathan doesn't respond.
"It's important..." I say as my voice breaks down.
He looks at me with anger in his eyes, stands up and follows me.

I take him to our favourite place. Well, at least it used to be... And we sit down.
Nathan is just staring at the wall in front of him.
"I know you hate me right now... I honestly don't know why-"
"Just get straight to the point" he said interrupting me.
"Nathan, didn't I ever mean anything to you? Nothing at all? Not even a friend? Or Was I just fooled by our funny, weird, exciting talks that probably never meant anything to you?"
"Listen, that was in the past, okay? If thats all you were going to say, then I'm going." He said while attempting to stand up, but I pulled him back down.
"No... Theres one more thing-"
"What is it?" He interrupted me, again.

"Well... I am in love with you... I have been for a long time..."
