"Sierra." Bars' voice broke the silence.

"How old are you?" He asked.

"I'm 15, why?" I ask.

"Oh, Justin wanted to know." He admitted.

I barely hear him, I was too busy thinking about my birthday. It's just in a couple weeks. Where would I be then? Will I still be in the woods? Will I be caught and punished? If I were to be caught by my mom then she would---

Suddenly a noise broke through my thoughts. Justin came in the treehouse with a serious expression on his face.

"We should go now." Justin said.

"What, why?" Bars whined.

"No, we have to leave now." Justin assured.

"No! I know you're scared and I am too. But, you're supposed to be the big brother, the one who's supposed to protect me. I can't stay another day knowing that my big brother can't protect me because he's too afraid." Bars exclaimed.

"Dang." I whispered.

Tears went down Justin's face as he leaned in to hug Bars. I wondered what it would be like to have siblings. If they were like friends you have to live with or enemies you're forced to love. Maybe it's just a love-hate relationship.

"Sierra, can we stay? Just for a little." Justin sniffed.

"Of course." I say.

What have I got myself into?
