Act II scene 3

(In Daimon's bedroom. When the lights come up Daimon is found on the couch. She awakes to a dream.)

Daimon: (She sits up and yawns . She gets out of bed and looks for her slippers, which are on

the oppposite side of where she got off her bed.) Now where are my slipper's?! (She finds them and puts them on.) That's better. (Her mother, played by Rosa, appears from the darkness .) What shall I have for breakfast?

Mother: May be you should have pancakes and sauges for breakfast. It was always your favorite .

Daimon: (Scared at first.) Momma! How did you get here? Mother: This is a dream Daimon. You asked me to be here. Daimon: You mean I'm not awake yet?

Mother: No you're not. But I can still make you your favorite breakfast. Daimon: You can?

Mother: I can do anything you desire. Daimon: Well let's go down to the kitchen. Mother: For you my child anything.

Daimon: (She begins to follow her mother, but Daimon hits her foot on the bed.) Ouch! Mother: What's the matter?

Daimon: I just hurt myself. I think you should explain something Mother. Mother: Explain what?

Daimon: Tell me why you're lying to me that this is a dream.

Mother: If it isn't a dream than how come I'm talking to you. I've been dead for seventeen years now.

Daimon: I don't know why this isn't a dream, but I'm gonna find out. The last time you came into my dreams you told me I was gonna fail at my attempt to destroy Zoe Marney. Were you right?

Mother: You will soon find out.

Daimon: What's that suppose to mean?!

Mother: When you and your lawyer meet Leonora and her lawyer then you will find out the truth. Daimon: So? What is the out come of this case.
