Just a quick A/N, I recommend you listen to every song that I will post with the picture when the chapters come out. You'll find out why hopefully soon.
💫Mabel's POV💫
I awoke to the sound of loud thumping in my ears. Flicking my eyes open, I sat up alert where I was sleeping. The thumping didn't stop, so i took time to recognize where I was. Sighing, I realized I was in my room. In Alcors house.
With the irittable sound continuing, I rolled myself out of my bed, finding myself in my shooting star sweater and usual skirt. My hair was let down like when I was a kid, with a headband added too.
Standing up, I went to investigate the source of the sound. Walking around my circular room, I pressed my ear onto the pink walls, listening for the strongest point of the sound.
I abruptly stopped and looked at the piece of wall that I was currently facing. It had no indents, cracks, or anything abnormal about it, but it was the origin of the irritating noise. Carefully, I pressed my hand to the wall, and the magical door appeared under it.
Suprise by the sudden change, I jumped back. Lucky I did, too. At that exact moment, Ford came barreling into the room, screaming some sort of battle cry. Once he realized he was still moving, he tried his best to stop. Instead, Ford ran face first into the adjacent wall, earning a giggle from me.
Getting up, he turned to look at me. There was a smile plastered on my face, and one starting to form on his. But that slow formation of happiness disappeared before it could completely form, which also caused mine to go away.
"Mabel, what were you doing in here? I was pounding on that door for five minutes straight!" he exclaimed, throwing his arms in the air for emphasis.
"I was sleeping. I opened it when I woke up, but I didn't exactly know that the door was there. It matched the wallpaper." I said innocently.
He sighed. "Alright, fine, that's a good excuse."
"Why were you trying to get into my room so badly anyway? Alcors made it pretty clear that he doesn't want to hurt us, not yet anyway." I say doubtfully.
"Well, uh, it was actually for that reason. I wanted to make sure that the demon didn't hurt you" he answered, not meeting my gaze and rubbing his neck sheepishly.
"Right now, I don't think we have to worry about him hurting us. Alcor needs us, and if he really is trying to get Dipper back, then I don't think Dipper would take it gently if he found us hurt or worse."
Ford looked at me, shock and confusion writen on his face. "Mabel, you can't be serious. He just trying to gain our trust by giving us hope that Dipper might return. It's all part of his real plan, whatever that is."
I stared back at him, meeting his eyes with mine. "I really think he's telling the truth Ford. The way he talked about it all last night just felt...real."
He sighed, disappointed. "I thought I taught you better. Demons will use every weakness that you have to their advantage. With you, it's your brother. With me, it's you. Nothing he said was actually true, the only thing that demons say that is close to the truth is a coded message."
Now I was getting angry at him. "Maybe not all demons are the same Ford. This could be our chance to meet a demon who is on our side for once!" I said, narrowing my eyes.
All Ford did in response was stomp angrily out of the room. I went back to my bed, and flopped down on it lazily.Time Skip
I must have been sitting on my bed for hours, and I was bored out of my mind. Nothing in this room interested me anymore. Then an idea formed in my head. I did say that maybe some demons aren't that bad, and now's my time to prove it.
So, hesitantly, I went over to the door on the wall. As I was about to knock, I paused, thinking about what I was about to do. Realizing that it was the only way, I knocked on the door.
"Alcor? You there?" I asked to no one. After a small amount of time, the door flung open. In a opening in the wall I saw Alcor in a kitchen area, wearing a pink apron that said "Kiss the Chef."
I couldn't handle it. I burst out into laughter. Just the thought of a powerful demon wearing something as ridiculous as a pink apron would have made me laugh. As I see it in person though, it made me laugh even harder.
Alcor is looking at me with a unamused look when I finally stop laughing. In his hand is a wooden spoon, and coating it was some sort of chunky, purple liquid.
"You got a problem with how I dress, star? I rock this apron and you know it!" he says in a tone that I had trouble figuring out if he was serious or not.
"Oh, that apron is sure something." I say, cautiously stepping into the kitchen. Or, at least what I can assume is a kitchen.
Alcor sighed. "Whatever. Why exactly did you call?" he asked me, taking his attention back to what he was doing before. Which, was, stirring a silver pot filled with the same chunky substance that was on the spoon he was holding.
"Well, I'm just kind of bored. And my uncle is not exactly the best conversationalist." I say sheepishly.
He momentarily stopped stirring, and turned his head so I could see one of his blue eyes.
"So, your saying you called on me because you wanted someone to......talk to?" Alcor asks. Strangely enough, I could almost detect a hint of hope in his voice. Mental noting this, I responded.
"Yeah, basically."
Without another word, he turned back to his pot. I took this chance to look around the room I was in.
The door I had entered from was now non-existant, replaced by the black marble wall that surrounded me. In the middle of the room was a large built-in wooden table, with various kitchen items scattered about it, such as pots, pans, knifes, spoons, ect. The floor was white tile, and emitted a cold feeling through my spine. On the wall infront of me, were many cabinets along with a microwave, fridge, deep fryer, and oven, which Alcor was currently working on. Above me was a dome like roof, with little twinkling lights floating around peacefully.
"So, what exactly do you want to talk about?" Alcor asked, breaking the awkward silence that I had not realized was building. Clearing my voice, I answered.
"Well, I'm kind of curious as to what exactly your making."
He answered almost instantly, and maybe a little to fast, after I asked.
"I am making a broth for my...well, I don't know what I would exactly call him. He was Bills brother, but I guess I took Bills place, so, I'm now his brother? I don't know, it's confusing. Anyway, it's a Popeye dream broth as a peace offering."
"Why would you need a peace offering with your......brother?" I asked him questionaly.
"We aren't exactly the best aquantinces since Bill died. He blames me, which I guess is reasonable, but Bills death had been prophecised for about a million years, so it wasn't exactly a suprise."
"Wait, really? His death was prophecised? That's, something." I say astonished. All of the time we spent in Weirdmaggeddon, we thought that Bill had a very slim chance of being killed. Now I learn that he was supposed to die anyway? With that knowledge, we could have just waited Weirdmaggeddon out. But instead, we fought, and now the majority of my family is dead.
"Yeah, most demons didn't believe in that part of thing, including Bill. He just disregarded it as fake."
Soon I was enveloped in conversation as me and Alcor talked. Turns out, he will willingly give out information. All I have to do is ask about it, and most of the time he will answer honestly. Some of the questions he avoided answering, but they were kind of personal, so i didn't mind.
Overall, I learned that once you meet him, Alcors actually not that bad. For a demon, of coarse. We had many conversations about many different topics.
We were currently talking about how the universe worked. Then a kitchen alarm interupted Alcor in the middle of his sentence. His eyes turned white, and he looked as though he wanted to die. When they turned back to their normal blue, he spoke.
"Sorry Mabel, Tad is here. And if he sees a human in here, he's going to lose his mind. Or at least more than he already has." The door suddenly appeared behind me, and I took the hint.
I sigh. "Oh, okay. I'll go back to my room."
He smiled warmly at me. "Thank you Mabel."
I walked over to the door. Before Icould open it though, Alcor started to speak.
"I have a suprise for you in your room too. Hopefully it will help keep you company."
I look back at him skeptically, only to be met with an empty kitchen. Teleported. Dang you demon.
Although still timid, I was eager to see what awaited me in my room. Swinging the door open, I was shocked by a playful squeal. I go into my room all the way, and the next thing I knew, I was tackled by a pink blur. On the floor, I looked to see what had jumped on me.
I gasped, as the creature started to lick my face. I hug him back, and tears start to well up in my eyes.
"Waddles! Your alive!" I scream, jumping up and twirling around majestically. He squealed in my arms, and didn't stop licking my face. I face plant onto my bed, a huge smile across my face.
Waddles curls up ontop of my back, and lays there, not bothered to be moved. I didn't mind though. I had my pig back, and nothing could ever my happiness.
But questions arose from the darker part of my brain. How could Alcor even know who waddles is? Is he not telling me something? Should I take Fords warnings? What if Alcor really is just playing us like pawns? Is Alcor even his real name.........The ends a bit weird, but it's been a while since I've updated this book. Wanted to get a chapter out as soon as possible.
