🌔Alcors POV🌖It's felt like an eternity. I blink my eyes furiously, trying to wake up from this hellish nightmare. But it's useless. I sit in the corner of my cell, clutching my head. The pain had only gotten worse. The room was so cold, that even though I'm a demon, I felt as though I would slip into hypothermia.
Slowly, I rock back and forth, loosing my mind. I knew subconsciously that it had not even been three hours, but it felt significantly longer.
That's when I started talking to myself. At first I thought that my thoughts were just somehow getting louder, but then I heard the echo that went with it.
"Maybe she was right?" I ask myself, still rocking. "Maybe I am Bill, but I'm just trying to hide it? After all, I'm talking to myself now." then I completely lose it. "Well, if I am Bill, might as well look like him right?!" I exclaim with a crooked smile. That's when I did what I promised myself to never to again. I turned into the form I'm supposed to be when in public.
I can feel myself levitating now, my tiny, little black arms now grabbing a point. My eyes merge into one huge one in the center of my face, and my body shift into five points.
"He he he..." I start, laughing a little, which then evolved into full out, hysterical laughter.
"HA HA HA HA HA HA!!" I laughed and laughed, not even realising that I was starting to sound a little too much like Bill.
What was happening to me right now was actually common for Dream Demons. Even though I was a special case, absorbing a Dream Demon instead of being created, it still affected me. Demons as a species are actually quite social. Some demons more than others, but still social, just like humans. When we are derived of social interaction, our minds slowly start to deteriorate. Dream Demons especially, since their whole existence revolves around deals with others and outsmarting others for their own gain and pleasure. In fact, that's what made Bill do insane. For millions of years, no one summoned him as civilization became more technological. And as a result, he was stuck alone, in the mindscape with his sanity slowly leaving him.
Now something similar was happening to me. Only much, much, faster.
I always interacted with other people to prevent this from happening. Whether it was playing in concerts, making deals, or just hanging around with Eve or Johnny, I made sure that someone was always around me. This was my worst fears come true.
Sitting in my cell, I was laughing like a madman, seemingly at nothing. Then, I heard someone evaporate outside the cell. I instantly snapped my eye open to look who it was. Even though I was desperate for some interaction, I still loathed the person who was outside my cell.
"Geez would you shut up already!" Tad yelled annoyed. "I could hear you all the way up in judgement hall!" All I did in response was stare at him, not exactly sure what to say.
He huffed. "Whatever. Kriyta sent me here to come get you, she's ready for the extraction." He then opened the cell with a skeleton key. Literally, it was made out of human bones.
Before I could even think about escaping once the door was open, he grabbed my arm tightly, and teleported us. I was still a little out of my mind, but I could tell where we were.
We were in Kriytas castle in Hell. All of the walls were made of stone that was a deep, crimson red. Black, torn banners hung from the walls, along with some that depicted some horrifying scenes. The ground was made of obsidian and so pristine I could see our reflections. Giant rock spires jutted from the ceiling, making the room more eerie than before. In front of me was a large door made out of a very dark wood, looking almost midevel.
Tad pushed me forward, and with slight growl, I floated toward the door. Tad followed close behind, making sure that I would try anything.
We were finally at the door, and it opened with a wave of Tads hand. Without stopping, we continued down a stone staircase, with small garnet gems implanted in the wall.
"Well, someone likes to be showy" I thought bitterly to myself. I finally took note that I was still in my original form, and quickly changed back into my preferred form. I felt Tad slightly tense up as I did, not expecting it. Then he slightly released as I did nothing more.
It seemed to take forever, but we finally made it to the bottom of the staircase. There was another door, this one covered in all sorts of runes. And yet again, Tad waved his hand and it opened.
He, quite literally, threw me inside, and I was not prepared for this sudden movement. I sprawled onto the cold stone floor, growling as I heard the door click shut behind me.
Looking back, I saw that Tad hadn't followed me, and I could hear his fancy dress shoes clipping against the stones of the staircase, slowly getting farther away.
I looked out infront of me, and my eyes widened, shocked at what I saw. It was a lab. But not just any scientist lab that Ford would work at, this was a experimental lab, specifically made for experiments that involved torture. And the pictures I saw clipped to one of Kriytas cork boards made my blood boil. There were three pictures, and on each of them were Mystic, Jake and Jasper. I stood up, hands clenched into fists.
Before I had time to think about anything more though, my attention went to a massive structure that I previously didn't notice.
It was made of metal, and had a window near its top. It looked like some kind of capsule from a Sci-fi comic book.
I was about to take a closer look, but felt a tingling sensation around my legs. Two bright red snakes crept up my legs, pushing them together. As they went higher, panic started to set in. They kept getting longer, and soon they were at my torso, tieing my arms to my sides. They started to hiss, and tightly wrapped themselves around my neck, just loose enough for me to breathe. (even though as a demon I really didn't need to.)
"Hey there Ali~" Kriyta said in a singsong voice behind me. I scowled, hating the nickname she would always call me just to get on my nerves. She then presented herself in front of me, a large smile on her lips. She grabbed my chin and forced me to look at her, as I was pretending she wasn't there.
"Time to fulfill your end of the deal." Then, without warning, I was shoved inside the metal contraption. It took me a second to regain my senses, and I noticed that the inside of the machine glowed a faint yellow. The window that I had noticed was at my eye level, and all I saw was Kriytas smiling face grow brighter.
"Oh, and this might hurt a little sweetheart." As she said this, I could hear her ouch a button on the outside. A small hiss of machinery then ensued, and I felt a small pinprick on the back of my neck. I reached back and felt a wire where the small pain had been. More then injected themselves into my skin, ripping tiny holes in my suit.
At first, I thought Kriyta was actually telling the truth when she said it would only hurt a little; but how wrong I was. A bright white light erupted in my vision, and the most excruciating pain I have very felt spread through my entire body. I let out a shrill scream, and I kept screaming too.
Through the screams, I could hear Kriyta giggling. It was absolutely sadistic.
And just when I thought the pain couldn't get any worse, it most certainly did. I screamed even louder, and the hum of machinery was all that filled my ears with my screams.
"This is it," I thought sadly. "I'll never get to tell anyone how much I actually love them, I can't save my family, and I'll die knowing my enemy got the best of me..." Tears started to flow down my face without me knowing until they dripped down to my chin. I wondered if they were from the pain, or caused emotionally. "Probably both" I concluded.
I felt myself getting weaker and weaker by the second, stomach turning and head spinning.
Through all of this though, I managed to feel a slight rumble from all around me. At first, I thought it was just the machine, as Kriyta cussed like a sailor. Then, as it grew in size, I could feel it coming from the earth. Something was happening and I knew it, but I just didn't know what.
Finally, after a small while, the rumbling stopped and I was left with my screams again. Kriyta then did something unexpected. She shut the machine off. The wire retracted from my body, and I crumbled to the floor in agony, too weak to stand.
Kriyta growled. "Ugh, of course they had to come." she muttered. I was thoroughly confused as to what she was talking about.
She then sighed. "Well, I'll just have to take care of this, then. You stay here, Ali, I'll be right back so we can finish your death."
Then all was silent, and the faint yellow glow turned to red. All I did was sit on the bottom of the capsule and cry. That's all I could do at the moment.
I had lost all hope for a rescue at this point. I was alone, and that was it. Slowly, dark spots crept into my vision as I felt more rumbling, and some peices of stone fall to the floor. I heard one thing with my enhanced hearing from the surface before I passed out, and I felt an overwhelming sense of joy and horror.
"GRAPPLING HOOK!"
