Gentle breeze on your skin
An air of home
A wonderful sound
Rolling hills
Floating clouds of white
Blueberry bushes
Flowers and flowers
Nostalgia...?
The smell of clean laundry
You can put it in the dryer all you want
But nothing is better
Than the scent of clothes dried in pure sunlight
Like lemon
Citrus lemon,
Your morning coffee
Or evening tea
Boiling in the kettle,
A warm scarf that your mother used to wear
Her scent still there.
The old rocking chair
Sandpaper rough
Smells of mold
But old natural wood
The scent of soil after rain
It's somehow refreshing
The earth has been washed and refreshed
The sun shines again
Father's sweat from work may not be pleasant to others
It smells of hard work and perseverance
There's love and protection
The most tiring of days are joyful when you serve your family
Grandpa smells weird
Old people generally do
But climb on grandma's lap
As grandpa strokes your head
And tells you a story
Then for some reason
It is unusually delightful
Stew is on the stove
It's a secret recipe
Mom will never tell me
But she said it's in her will
As long as she is alive
She wishes
That only she knows how
She wants something to belong to her
Only her
People come and go
But scents remain in your mind.
I haven't sold the house
Because then I would have to sell the people that still live in it
People are priceless
The scents have yet to vanish
They illuminate when I make mom's stew
One day I know that it will leave forever
And that too when you least expect it
And I will be forced to say farewell at last
People are always selfish
They never stop to ponder
They never really wonder
How others feel
When they leave.
The leave when they want.
