Violet's Pov

(Hours ago...)

"Violet come on let's go to the bar na." sabi ni Kim.
"Hindi na, I still have to study. Gusto mo ikaw na lang pumunta!"
"Wala nga akong kasama. Your the only one who is not that busy."
"Not that busy? Examinations are coming up next week! I want to pass this grading! Kim if you want to go then go I'm not forcing you!!!!" I said in a calm tone.

"Violet sige na, you owe me right!?!? Isa lang 'to, compare to your other favors to me... Kaya sige na please..."
"Next time na lang."
"Sige na...." Pinilit ni Kim sa akin.
"Noooooo..."
"I am not taking a no for an answer, Vi!"
"Hay naku, I have exams nga!!"
"Violet, I need to grab a drink and then after that we'll get home okay. Please!!" Sabi ni Kim in a very serious tone. When will she ever stop?

"Ugh... 1 drink. Okay? 1 drink." Emphasizing the word '1'.
"Yay!!!" Tuwa niyang sabi.
"Madali lang ah?"
"Ok ok ok, let's go!"

Kinuha niya ang kamay ko pa labas ng kwarto ko at hindi niya binitawan hanggang dumating kami sa bar. (Malapit lang naman eh.)

Pag dating namin sa loob konti lang ang tao. "Hi bartender, where's everybody???" Tanong ni Kim. Sinabi ko ba na gwapo siya? Karamihan naman na bartender ay gwapo eh...

"Everybody's on top of the building with a guy who is trying to commit suicide by now. Go and see for yourself." he points to the flight of stairs.
"Oh my gosh!!! Are you serious!?!?" Tanong ko sa bartender.
"Let's go find out." Kim said pulling me up to the stairs.

When we reach at the top of the stairs I heard a familiar voice, 'It can't be, hindi siya sanay. No, it is possible. ' I convince myself.

"--come down." someone said.
"Sino? Sino, Lou? Who is willing to, accept my love? Wala naman eh, they are all taking me for granted. Sorry Lou but I have to g-"
Siya nga, tumakbo na ako at nakita ko siya.

"STOP. Baby I'm here!"

Where the hell did 'Baby' come from?
Then everyone turned to me. ME. I said it. I said 'Baby'! What would be other people's reaction about me? How about Ryan? Lou? Would I, the ex of Ryan, stop his plan of suicide?

"What are you doing here? You should not be here!" Ryan's voice is calm.
"Kim invited me to come here-"
"No that is not what you want, you want to see me suffer. Don't you?? To write something in the news. You're going to be a journalist remember!!!!"
"No that is not want-"
"Ryan, I invited her here, you can't just do that to Vi. And get down from here." Kim said.
"No, wala na kayo sa buhay ko. Iniwan mo na ako diba. You left me without saying goodbye. You left me suffering. You useless brat! And don't you dare call me baby. I'm not a child."
Then he sits down, I don't know why. Then I hear him sob. Lou reached out for him carefully and comforted him.
"Enough...enough..." I hear her say. She finally managed to carefully put him back to the ground.
When Lou reach to me she said:
"Make sure this doesn't get publish in the news tomorrow. Ok?"
I just nodded.

After a few minutes, the drunk people all left, exept Kim, and there I was standing alone realizing what just happened.

"Hey are you alright?..." Tanong sa akin ni Kim.
"Yes, I'm fine." I just sobbed a little
"Dapat hindi na lang tayo pumunta dito!"
"No perfect lang ang dating natin. Look he was suppose to jump from that edge, its a good thing that you invited me here. Or else Ryan would be dead by now." I said pointing to the edge where Ryan stood.
"Ok lets go home! You still have to study right?"
"You will not drink? Come on let's drink. What are we doing here for if we are not going to drink right? Also you invited me here!" Sabi ko naman.
"Wow! Kanina ayaw mo uminum tapos you're inviting me now? Ano ba talaga?"
"Kim what are we doing here if--" pinutol ako ni Kim.
"Oo na, oo na lets start drinking!!!" Tapos hinila niya ako pababa sa stairs.

But before I reach the bottom part of the stairs, nabungo ko ulit si Lou.

"Lou, kamusta na si Ryan?" Sabi ko. Worried... Of course... About Ryan!
"His fine! Nagpapahinga na siya sa kotse. At pwede ba next time wag mong ulitin yung nagyari kanina, he just broke up with his girlfriend a while ago. Ok? So pwede mo ba kaming iwan sa mga buhay namin at wag na kaming pakialaman!"
"Wow. Magaling ka na pala sa Filipino? Sino nagturo sayo? Don't worry I will not disturb you guys na I'll be leaving the States soon and I'll not be coming back, tatapusin ko--" pinutol ako ni Lou.
"I don't give a f**k about you leaving the States, or whatever your plan is! At ano bang paki mo if I learned Filipino or not. Hindi lang kasi magaling magturo yung teacher ko ehh..." Nagpaparinig?
"Ahh... Ok. Sige una na ako. I have to drink some vodka or bee--." And then she left. Rolling her eyes.

Ano ba yan Vi, ang daldal mo! Tuloy
kinakainisan ka ni Lou. Ang daldal mo talaga kahit kaylan! Hindi na yata sumibat si Kim sa usapan at baka may masabi pa siyang mali.

"Hey, are you okay? Umalis na siya, com'on lets drink!" Bumaba na kami at narinig yung favorite song ko.

"Say you'll never let me go, Deep in the bones I can feel you take me back..."
"Uy... Roses oh... Favorite mo!!!" Sabi ni Kim. Tapos sumayaw kami ni Kim sa dance floor. Hanggang may tumapik sa likod ko.

"Hey, I'm Nathan. Can I join you?"
"Violet, nice to meet you!" I said out loud. Extending my arm, and he shook it back. He might not hear me because of the loud music.
"So, What do you do for a living?" He asked.
"I'm a journalist. You?" Tapos nagplay yung kantang Dazed and Confused by Jake Miller.

"Hey, this is my favorite song," he ignored my question then he sang me the lyrics, ohmygoshhh... Ang ganda ng boses niya. Sobrang kuhang-kuha yung voice ni Jake.

"Do you sing?" I asked.
"Yes, I sing covers in YouTube. Do you?"
"My voice sounds so terrible, you would not like it."
"Hahahaha...." He laughted. Do you know how weird his laugh sounds? It's like you're having asthma attack but it kinda sounds cute...
"What's so funny?" I asked.
"Nothing, nothing" he replyed
"So what do you do for a living?" I asked him again.
"Can we talk somewhere else? Like outside? It's so noisy here." He asked.
"Umm... Sure. I'll just tell my best friend. Ok?"
"Yah. Sure. I'll wait outside."

Pumunta na ako kay Kim para sabihin na aalis muna ako. Mabuti naman na pumayag. Lasing yata si Kim, hindi makapagsalita ng maayos. But I went out anyway.

Paglabas ko nakita ko siya, nagsisigarilyo, ang cool niya tignan pero bakit parang may nagsasabi na bawal ako lumapit sa kanya. Na parang ang dangerous niya but his eyes says otherwise.

Ay ewan ko ba!!! Bahala na si Superman! (Walang basagan ng trìp) 😄

Lumapit na ako sa kanya.

"You're back! Kanina ka pa diyan?" Sabi niya na baluktot ang kanyang Filipino.
"Marunong ka mag-Filipino?" Gulat na gulat kong sabi
"My mom is half-filipino. Daddy ko naman American. E ikaw Filipino ka din ba?" Tanong niya naman sa akin.
"No, my parents aren't filipino. Someone just taught us how to speak."
"Us?"
"Yes, 'us' me and Kim."

Ok, so let us not focus on them since they are not the main characters of the story. 😀
But Violet did and will pop up in the next couple of chapters! Sorry, if this chapter is kinda short but don't worry chapter 5 will be long. I promise!!!

So siya pala yung ex ni Ryan!!! Nagulat ba kayo? Gusto ko kasi yung mga plot twists eh...
