Hermione strutted over to the front door of her so called Manor and looked up at the looming building. The dark rusty door loomed in front of her, studded with gorgeous emeralds. She smiled, although it would be lonely sometimes, this was fabulous. She looked up. Grey stone grew into the sky, dripping with the air of welcoming. However, Hermione had to admit, it did look a little dirty. But she was certain she could fix it up in no time, there was nothing she couldn't do.
Glancing over to the Malfoys, she smirked at their smaller and poorer house. It was still gigantic, but hers was bigger. She smiled proudly. Although, who'd have though that little miss Hermione Granger, sorry Gaunt, would ever be richer that the Malfoys?
Just as she was about to open the door, out of the corner of her eye she noticed three people marching up to her, all blessed with shining blonde hair she recognised so well.
"Hey! You there; you have no right to be on this property!" Shouted Lucius Malfoy, pointing his cane towards her menacingly. She didn't turn around or even speak. "You dare to ignore me, you-" She turned around just as the Malfoys reached her. Three pairs of grey eyes widened in shock as they noticed who this intruder actually was.
"Hermione Granger. Little mudblood, you filthy little-" Draco was cut off, silenced by his mother, who gently rested her hand on his arm. Aw how, sweet little Draco got told off by his little mummy. She would be sure to use that as blackmail material later on.
Lucius Malfoy was now beyond furious. Although the war was over, the Malfoys still believed in their stupid little prejudiced ways of life. "What do you think you're doing here, get off this land, this is the Gaunts," he screamed, " you have no right to be here, you're just a little mudblood."
Hermione slowly raised her eyebrows and replied in a perfectly calm voice; "No, I do most certainly have the right to be here." Lucius just glared and motioned for her to continue with his cane. "For I am Hermione Gaunt."
Silence came upon the eldest Malfoy, as on the other two.
"HAhahahahaHahaha," the Malfoys looked at her, laughing in synchronization, their cold eyes showing their hatred for her, and what they believer was her kind. "Yeah right!"
"I am."
The laughter stopped as they realized that she was being serious. "Alright then, if you're so sure, open that door then, only the Gaunt family can open that door, isn't that right father, mother?" Draco said, smirking at Hermione who only glared as his mother and father nodded their heads.
She turned around, and staring at the Malfoys pointedly, opened the door. She then stepped inside, and promptly slammed the door in their faces, only catching sight of three pairs of grey eyes, wide open in shock and awe. First time meeting the Malfoys like this, Hermione grimaced. She was more powerful than them, they would have to look where they were going. She smirked.
'Yeah,' she thought, 'that'll teach them to mess with Hermione Gaunt ever again.'
