Karlie bit her lip anticipating the next sentence being uttered.

She's found out. But how?

"What is it, Love?" Cara joined Cat on the deck, looking into the computer screen as the taller girl furrowed her brows, eyes darting across the windows that were open.

She's going to kill me.

"We just got six simultaneous hits at different entry points." The blonde was pointing at the faces that had popped up on the screen while Cara began to recognise them.

False alarm. Karlie heaved a sigh of relief before she too joined the other two in identifying the people that had popped up on the screen. She recognised one of them immediately as one of her previous clients. "What do you mean...hits?" Her eyes took in the different windows open, it looked like a surveillance program but a million times more advanced. Face recognition software running on every surveillance camera in the city. Holy smokes this is cool.

"Hits AKA any possible threats. It's scans everyone in vision and is only programmed to highlight people that are above a certain degree of danger to us. Only the most likely threats show up on the screen. Any dangerous person even remotely involved with the crime world of the highest order will show up." The blue eyed girl explained as Knockout concentrated on the screen in front of her, slightly impressed.

This is some serious shit.

"So anyone that is viable threat will show up? And it has everyone's records?"

"Yes.  Anyone in the world." Cat nodded for Kloss' further amazement.
"Okay but this is New York City. Of course there are going to be Mafia and international criminals in here." Karlie reasoned. "Yep. It's normal to get two or more hits at a time but to have six at once? That's the highest ever. Plus they all entered the city from different points at the exact same time." The blonde highlighted the timeline. Rightly so, they had all entered the city at 6:22pm.

Two had come in at the toll booths by road. Two had been spotted in the airport while the other two had been seen at the train stations, taking in the AMTRACK from two different cities. Karlie reasoned again that this might just be a coincidence. Catastrophe simply shrugged but she wasn't convinced, pulling up their records one by one.

"Knockout...normally in our line of work...there are no coincidences, love. They're definitely up to something." The Brit finally spoke up, grinning at Karlie before taking a seat next to Cat. "She's right. And look...do you see anything common between them all?" The blonde's expression was stony all of a sudden, as if an old ghost had come to haunt her.

"What?"Karlie's green eyes searched the screen but she couldn't spot it. Cara spoke up after a few seconds. "Oh this is bad..." The shortest girl muttered under her breath, she was studying their faces seriously now, her usual jovial mood gone. "What? What is it?" Frustration scratched at the fighter. She was pretty keen in the eye and good with faces. She had gone through their records over six times and yet she could not see anything out of the ordinary as far as members of the crime world were concerned, nor could she see anything that tied these individuals together.

Taylor pulled up their images and increased the resolution to make it more obvious. Karlie finally saw it. Each of them had a black mark of the minutest degree creeping from their necks, almost completely hidden by their clothes but it was noticeable nonetheless. "They have similar looking tattoos on their necks..okay what does that mean?" The fighter was still considerably puzzled. She hadn't seen this on anyone before and she recalled that her former client didn't have it the last time she saw him either. It had to be new, like within the last four months new.
