I woke up with a huge weight on my body. I tried to get up and turn my alarm off, but Hunter refused to allow it.
"You do know that it's going to go off until I shut it off, right?" Then I tried shoving him, which did no good. He was pretty big. "Please?" Hunter got up and walked over my body to the floor.
"Thank you," I said as I hit the off button on my new alarm clock. Hunter grunted in reply.
I changed in the bathroom, since I figured that I had bothered Hunter enough for this morning. My hair was always down, and I normally never wore makeup. Makeup was reserved for special occasions, like birthdays, holidays, and first days of school. My hoodie and jeans stayed the same, the only difference between each day of the week was that I wore a different shirt every day. My jeans all looked pretty much the same.
I walked back into my room. Hunter lifted his head to look at me, so I spun in a quick circle.
"How do I look?" He got up and licked my hand. "Aww, thanks. Just what I wanted!" I told him sarcastically. I liked dogs, but when they start slobbering, I would rather be fifteen feet away.
"Raven! Get out here this instant!" I ran out at the sound of my mom's voice. She sounded mad.
"Uh oh." I looked around the living room. Or what used to be the living room.
"Uh oh is right young lady! Your dog has ripped up all of our furniture! Now we're going to have to buy all new ones! Do you know how much that costs?" My mom was in her full rage mode. The best thing to say at this point is nothing unless -
"Are you even listening to me? That dog is going back outside! It is not allowed to be inside any longer!" Theeen you say something.
"Mom, calm down. I heard you. But if I put him outside, then he might run away again!"
"I don't care! He's listened to your every command so far, so just tell him to stay in the backyard or something! I don't want him ruining anything else!" I knew that she wasn't going to back down.
"Okay, fine. I'll put him outside before we leave."
When it was almost time to go, I called for Hunter and he trotted out of my room. I rubbed his back, and told him, "We gotta leave you outside today, okay boy? We can't have you destroying our whole house, now can we?" He barked, indignant. "I know you don't want to go outside! Just deal with it, okay? And please, please don't run away. Just stay in the yard."
I opened the door and he ran out, sat down, and stared at me. "Thank you. Now, if you absolutely must go somewhere, come back, okay?" He barked, apparently in agreement. "Good. See you later."

"Guys, guess who I found on Saturday?" I asked the table at lunch.
"Two plus two equals six." Ethan was only half awake today, but by the sound of it, probably less.
"Your long lost twin?" Tia was all about fantasies and romance and stuff like that. So, she was probably seriously asking me.
"The dog that you've been going on about all week?" Noah was by far the most perceptive of the group.
"Yes. It took half the day, but I brought him home and now he's just hanging out in my yard. He started out in the house, but he destroyed my living room this morning. Feathers were everywhere. Who puts feathers in pillows anymore, anyways?"
"Awesome! But who knows? And have you found the owner yet?" Tia asked.
"Not yet, but I'm hoping someone will claim him. Speaking of, Noah you said that you had a missing dog, right?"
"Yeah, he's still missing."
"Did you want to come over to my house and see if Hunter's your dog?"
"Hunter?" Ethan asked, mouth full of food.
"I named the dog, since I didn't know how long he'd be at my place."
"Yeah, sure. Why not? Maybe it'll be him." Noah agreed.
"Okay. I'll let my mom know that she'll be taking both of us home tonight." I said, texting my mom. I looked up to see Noah doing the same. A few minutes later, our parents confirmed our rendezvous.
The bell went off, signaling that we had five minutes to get to our next class. "See you guys later."
"Bye." Noah told me before dragging Ethan off. Ethan had literally almost fallen over just standing there!
"Why is Ethan so tired today?" I asked Tia, wondering if she knew.
"I think he stayed up studying for the math test today."
"Oh, yeah. Probably." There wasn't a math test today, but I just let it slide. It was probably something personal.

Guys, I know you don't like to show your feelings on my books very much, and that's fine. I love you the way you are. But I would really, really appreciate it if you commented or voted on my chapters! If you didn't like, then don't. Either way, show what you think my book deserves. If it deserves nothing, then hey, at least I tried. My point is, let me know what you think. I love the edits and love I sometimes got on Blaze (my first book, in case you haven't read it. Btw, that wasn't an ad)!
Just keep doing what you're doing, my crazies! Talk to ya next time! :)
