But the chapter is here now, even though it's a little shorter than normal, which I apologize for. If you guys hate me, I totally understand. I'll try to make it up to you by updating again soon, but I don't know if I can.

Aaanyways, I hope your day has been amazing! And I hope you like your long-awaited (I hope you waited) chapter!! :)

~~Lucas' POV~~

"Can you guys not act like you've seen a ghost? Or aliens, or something?" Raven asked, giving us all a really weird look. We snapped our mouths closed and continued on as normal - even though what was happening was far from it. "Guys? Why are you all acting so weird?"

 Three answers were given:

"Stuff."

"Boy stuff."

"You don't wanna know."

"Okayyy, then. Do you people even know where you're going?"

"Ummm. Define 'know where you're going.'" Noah stated.

"I know where we're going." I said. Jax, my Eagle, could always find the Flock.

"Great."

"Uh, Raven? Do you remember anything about the name Astrid?"

"No? Should I?" Raven sounded completely clueless.

"Not really. She was just this new girl at our school and I wondered if you met her yet." I lied.

Raven slowed, and I did, too, let Noah and Nick go by us. She matched my stride and wrapped her hand around mine. "Seriously, what's on your mind? You can tell me, you know."

"Oh, I don't know. I've just got a bad feeling, that's all." Understatement.

"It's fine. I know hanging out with me will give you that feeling." She joked.

"Shouldn't I be leading these fools?"

"Yeah, probably. But let's just do some backseat driving." She bumped her shoulder into mine.

That was weird. She acted like we knew each other super well. And we've known each other for only a few days, though in her mind we've known each other since we were babies. Speaking of -

"Happy Birthday!" I burst out, remembering.

"You remembered!" Raven exclaimed, hugging me. I hugged her back, so it wasn't awkward. I mean, I liked Raven, and she was really pretty, but I didn't know her super well.

"You will learn to know her well, dear Lucas." Dylan's voice said, floating through my mind.

"Of course I did! How could I forget my best friend's birthday?" I put on a smile that was real, seeing her face light up.

"You've managed to that before. Remember my 7th birthday, and my 11th birthday, and my 14th birthday, and my 15th birthday?"

To be honest, no. But I pretended. "Well, those years I forgot to mark 'Rav B-day' on my calendar." I teased.

"Hey!" She punched me, not very lightly, on the shoulder.

"Hey, lovebirds, are we going the right way? And how much longer?" Nick asked, him and his Beta turning.

"First, we're not lovebirds. Second, yeah. Third, 20 minutes tops." I called.

Twenty minutes later, we were still in the woods. Apparently, Jax didn't want to go home. Not that I blame him, but -

"Whoa!" Hands grabbed me from all sides. I blinked my eyes to get out of my mind to see that I had almost walked straight off of a very steep hill. I wouldn't have died or anything, but it definitely would've hurt!

"We called your name, but you just kept walking!" Noah explained.

"I was just thinking." I kept it at that. I didn't want to tell anyone what I was thinking about, nor was I ever going to. That night was going to be kept quiet until it was forgotten.

"Hey, isn't that the building?" Nick asked, pointing at a grey tip sticking above the trees.

"Yep," Raven answered. She started walking again, with us boys following behind.

As we approached the building, Nick and Noah stopped, saying only, "See you later," before running off.

Raven frowned. "They should've stayed for dinner or something. They didn't have to go home so soon."

"Maybe they were worried about getting into trouble."

"Maybe. Anyways, let's go see what's cooking tonight!"

We walked through the doors that I didn't think I'd ever walk through again, and instantly, I regretted it. I somehow feel like Raven did, too, even though she wouldn't really know why.
