HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MEEEEE!!! SUPER MASSIVE BIRTHDAY UPLOAD!!! (P.S Sorry for the amazingly long wait...my writer's block was...awful!)

“Alright, let’s go!” Jace yelled. Does he think that he’s drill sergeant or something? Autumn and I closed our last bags and handed them to Jace. He left out of our hotel room and went to take the bags down to the car.

“Hayden”, Autumn called once he left. I sent my message to Katie and then stuck the phone into my pocket. “Yeah?”

“I do like him” she said. She was smiling like a kid on Christmas. “Who?” I already knew who she was talking about but I wanted to hear her say it. Let the record show that Hayden, once again, was right! “Jace. I’m sorry if that makes you feel weird.” I shook my head and smiled. “I’ve been telling you since middle school that I don’t care if you want to be with him.” Autumn looked at me for a while and then hugged me suddenly. “Really? I was scared that this was going to be weird and awkward!” Was she crying? I’ve been telling her that I think that she should be with him for years! Jace walked back into the room and smiled awkwardly.

“I’d hate to break up this…girl moment, but we do have to leave” he said. We all checked the room one last time to make sure that we hadn’t forgotten anything. Since there was nothing, we all walked out of the hotel room and into the lobby. Jace gave the room keys back and I went to go snag some coffee from the continental breakfast stand. My phone buzzed and I took it out of my pocket.

U R leaving 2day!?

I quickly texted her back and told her that we were leaving. Autumn walked into the room with me and told me that Jace was ready to go now. She squealed when she saw the coffee and ran to fix herself a cup. “So, Vic and Mike are cute, right?” she asked out of the blue. I sipped my coffee and instantly regretted it. It was still too hot. “Um, yeah, I guess. Why do you ask?” I grabbed a napkin and wiped up the mess that I’d left from my coffee. I felt weird about leaving messes in public places. Is that weird?

“I just noticed that their eyes were practically glued to you last night” she said with a smile. I sighed and continued to clean up. “It’s not like it matters, we’re leaving today” I said. I was actually excited to go back home. With Mike and Vic looking at me like that, it made me realize that I hadn’t had a guy in a while. I wanted to go back home and find a nice guy. My phone started ringing and I answered it.

“No, you can’t leave yet! If you do, I’ll be the only girl again. Tony’s girlfriend is in her last year of college so she’s never here!” Katie said. I laughed a little to myself. “Well, I can’t stay with you guys forever” I said with a laugh. I guess it could get pretty lonely if you’re the only girl with a bunch of boys. “Let’s just hang out today and then you guys can leave afterwards” she said.

“I’ll have to ask Jace but that sounds okay to me” I said. Katie squealed and said goodbye. “Who was that?” Autumn asked. Jace walked in and asked what was taking so long. So many questions; so little time. “That was Katie and she wanted to know if we could hang out today and then leave after. She doesn’t want to be the only girl again” I explained. Jace said that it was okay and then asked why we didn’t get him any coffee.

“Why didn’t you come and get your own coffee?” I asked. I just loved to get on his nerves.  I think that it was the only reason that I was born. Jace grabbed my cup and took a gulp before spitting it out. “Caution, hot drinks may be hot” I said with a laugh. I decided to just grab a bagel and one of those little cartons of milk. I walked out of the room and outside to the car. I should probably tell Katie that we were going to hang out today. I opened the door to the front seat and climbed into the car. I put the carton in the cup holder and placed the bagel on my thigh. Maybe I should have gotten a paper plate for my bagel rather than a napkin. I pulled my phone out and dialed Katie’s number.
