Desert Illusions:
Danny's breath shortened within each step she took. She had been walking for what seemed hours but in reality where days. Her mother had left her in a small town in Egypt with her uncle. Everything was going good until she woke up in dry, heated sand, alone with no one around her. At first she thought it was a joke but as time pass she knew someone or something wanted her here. Her throat was dry, lips cracked and bloody, while her vision became blurry. She chuckle at the irony, all her life she feared being alone in a place not wanting to die for something silly but rather for a important mission that would change history. She had imagine herself rescuing people, or trying to stop something dangerous but never did she imagine herself dying in the gruesome heat with nothing but sand surrounding her. Her hope was fainting as he could no longer feel her legs or body, everything went numb. She dropped to the heated sand slowly closing her eyes not wanting to ever open them again and letting the dark abyss pull her towards the darkness. But she knew she couldn't give up. She needed to see him at least for one last time just to tell him how sorry she was for fighting with him, by him she meant her husband. That was the reason her mother left her in Egypt with her uncle because she was having troubles with her husband and wanted to relax from all the problems and try to think for a solution to the problem. She felt something inside her kick, telling her to go on. She smiled knowing she never had the chance to tell her husband that she was pregnant. She never told him because she found him with another woman and threatened him to sell her stocks and take away all his money. She regret saying that but her mind was hot during that time and she couldn't see anything but red.
Just as she was going to give up she heard water rushing. She looked up only to find a water fall almost near her with a coconut tree beside the waterfall. With little strength she had left she started crawling in the sand towards the waterfall.
"We are going to make it baby" She whisper softly
When she got by the water fall she bathed herself in the cool water and drank until her stomach was full. Then she leaned by the coconut tree promising herself that when she woke up she was going to try to find civilization so she could call her husband to tell him she forgive him and wanted to start all over again. Soft air was around her brushing every fear away as she closed her eyes peacefully. In the distance there stood a man with a camel holding a water of canteen smirking to himself knowing she would never wake up ever again. As he stared at her lying under the sweltering sun with sand covering her body, he rode off knowing she would never come between his affairs.
